Chiwetel Ejiofor. Every time I mention him, I'm like "that dude who's name I can't pronounce or even remember." |
Its pronounced Goody or Goo Dee |
Oh my. This reminds me of a funny Key & Peele short. I think most white Americans will pronounce AIR-ron. The places I've been where it is predominantly AY-ron are minority majority areas (I live in PG county and there are a few communities in PG where most will think it is the latter, not the former). |
Until looking it up, I've been pronouncing it wrong. I checked out a couple of interviews with the man (talented actor) and the hosts say this and he doesn't correct it. |
high-DRAH-gra-fee |
Aloyisius. I think I spelled it wrong. |
I'm from NY, and those are completely different pronunciations. The PP who hears Aaron/ Erin the same with the "American" (you do realize there are different accents in different parts of America, right?) accent, Aaron is pronounced with a short A like arrow. Erin is pronounced with a short E like error. |
+1. The standard pronunciation definitely rhymes with "wave." |
Similarly, Sarah and Sara are pronounced differently. |
There is this YouTube channel that explains how to pronounce words like this. Except they are incredibly (intentionally) wrong and outlandishly so. It's quite funny |
Bahahahah you're a moron. According to the company itself, it is pronounced La Croy, rhymes with enjoy. Looks like you're the ignorant one! http://www.lacroixwater.com/nutritionals/how-is-lacroix-pronounced/ |
What's the difference between SaraH and Sara? |
Greenough (like Nobles and Greenough)... anyone? |
Isla |
Esme. Although either is ok. Es-may or ES-mee. One of the reasons we didn't pick the name. Didn't want people to be confused. |
