Racial tensions were bad in 1960s BECAUSE the whites cant digest the blacks will eat with them in restaurants, study with their kids in schools, and travel with them in buses, trains and flights. They just couldn't fathom that the previous slaves are now equals.

Racial tensions are bad since Obama took over as president, because the same whites who couldn't agree with civil rights couldn't digest a Black man(even though he was 50% white) and his black family gets to be in the "White" house. And some of the White senators and representatives worked so hard to ensure that the black man's legacy is tarnished by blocking everything against the interests of their own poor white voter. LBJ is so right about how to get to make the poor white guy to vote against his own interests.

Oh, please. It is precisely this type of thinking that has caused a deterioration of our society.
I couldn’t care less WHAT color Obama is. But, I do care about his policies and his promises.
I didn’t like where he planned to take this country. I didn’t like his concept of “fundamental transformation.”
I haven’t agreed with most of what he has done. But, it isn’t because of his color. It is all about his policies.
Get off the “race horse.”

Agree. I would be all over having a black conservative President. Does the PP think only black votes got Ben Carson that far in the primary season?

How far? He didn't win any state or was even second in any state. The racist voters wont even vote for hispanic guys cruz/rubio even though each one of them were functionally white. Guess what happened, no one could race bait the white voters like Drumpf. That is the voter base of the republican party. Nobody said(even though Drumpf never meant it) they would build a wall to keep out the brown people. Nobody but Drumpf said they will ban the entry of muslims or ban trade with china. So we know which party is the base for racists.

While you're complaining about whites feeling do superior to blacks, you might consider not calling Trump by a name intended as a put-down.

Drumpf is his family name, not Trump. Are you ashamed of his German ancestry, if he is called by his proper german last name?

He no longer uses that name. Your use of it is intended as a put-down, and you know it.

So what? You're trying to draw some equivalence between that and racism? Get a clue.

Nope. Just pointing out that you complain about how whites act like they're better than blacks at the same time you insult someone else with a piut-down.

The second point is utterly irrelevant to the first. One can both complain about racism and also put down racists. There's nothing inconsistent about that.

So racial tensions are completely the fault of white racists? Nothing the blacks have done is a factor at all? Attitudes like yours simply fan the flames.

Yep, racism is pretty much the fault of white people. This isn't one of those things that everyone's equally to blame for.

The poster did not ask if the blame for racism was equal. She asked if you feel the racial tension -something different - is entirely white people's fault, or if possibly....maybe.....blacks have contributed to them in any way. Until blacks can acknowledge even a tiny bit of culpability, things won't improve. So I'll ask: 100% white people's fault for racial tension, or not?

That's incredibly dumb. So you think that as a white person, you should go around blaming black people for racial tension? That's somehow productive? Please.

Please tell that to Drumpf's grandfather who escaped police from Germany for fraud and changed his name to trump so German police cant reach him in the USA. Defrauding people, apparently is the family business.

No...I'm acknowledging that white people have a lot to answer for, but is it productive to blame EVERYTHING on white people and fail to admit that blacks may have some role in this? Is is helpful to tell white people that all the racial tension is completely their fault? And that blacks have not done a single thing wrong? That type of attitude is making things worse.

Please point to where in any of the posts you were responding to, someone said that no black people have ever done anything wrong ever? You're making this point as a deflection, because it's not actually responsive to anything. Someone said "white people have done XYZ". Your response, as a white person, is "Oh yeah! Well black people have done bad stuff too!" Way to take responsibility and move things forward. You're exactly like the "All lives matter" people.

Proper? Who are you to determine another person's "proper" name? You may choose your "proper" name, but not anyone else's... except your children's... until their 18th birthday. Sorry.

Please tell that to Drumpf's grandfather who escaped police from Germany for fraud and changed his name to trump so German police cant reach him in the USA. Defrauding people, apparently is the family business.

Can't blame Trump for his ancestor's behavior.

Ha ha, nice try. Trump the fake University Chancellor has settled many fraud cases and his fraud university case is going to trial soon.

Like your candidate is a paragon of honesty and integrity.

I don't know his grandfather the way you do, but I certainly wouldn't be defending the German government of that era. Are you sure you want to?

This was pre nazi era we are talking about. Go read something, google and read about Drumpf clan and how they made their money. NYT has done an extensive biography of the Drumpf family and business.

BTW, shall we equally judge the Clinton Clan on their grandparents? How about their siblings?

Why do you expect paragon of honesty in a politician? That is so stupid. No politician CAN ever be honest because the stupid people expect them to fix everything for them. The political system guarantees no politician can do everything that was promised. So every politician is a liar by default. If there is a honest politician, he/she should tell the voters, " in the current political impasse, honestly I cant get anything done, please vote for me because I told the truth".

So I dont expect honesty from them. But I expect lil bit competency and NOT DOING ANY irreparable damage to the country. You really think Trump will build the wall(nope, he already said it is only a suggestion) and he cant stop trade even if he wants, especially when he makes more money by making his shirt to shoes in china. He has cheated small business men, poor people, single mothers, veteran business owners, construction workers(by paying them less and by bringing polish workers) etc. He said he will fund his own campaign BUT now is asking for money from poor people. LOL. He is taking his voters for suckers.

You sure think he is a paragon of honesty and integrity. Hi entire history is to cheat people WHEN he can make money off of it. He is now interested in making himself president AND make even more money by getting better deals. But as long as he has naive voters and people willing to be cheated, he will continue to make more money.

What makes you think I am a fan of ANY politician. I am a realistic guy. The people in this country are greedy and its politicians will be just like them. Honesty is not to be expected from a politician. Expect they wont at least blow the country up or kill Americans in a needless war or spend trillions in a needless war and increase the debt.

What is Trump's plan?

Well, at least part of his plan is control the number of taxpayer supported terrorists immigrating here vs. Hillary Clinton putting out the welcome mat for them.

Don't worry, she will change her position once she figures it is not a position that is tenable given the environment. After she changes her position she will insist that was her position all along - it is her MO.

Surprisingly Hillary phoned in to Bill Oreilly tonight. And she sounds a lot like Trump - calling reforming Nato, using the term radical Jihadist, etc.

She's onto the "let's come to the center" stategy. Enjoy it for the moment. It won't last long.

She is moving to the left on issues dear to Sanders and to the right on issues that Trump is pushing such as terrorism and Nato.

Waiting for her to come down hard on international trade, border security and fighting the establishment. It will happen for sure ....... just a matter of time. Where she really stands on any of these issues is a coin toss or what the polls show at any point in time.
