Obviously it doesn't if they can't figure out how to get our kids into a high school, dipshit.

You have a toddler who is ready for high school?

Love it.

Or maybe Washington-Too Late or Waitfield.

Build a new fucking high school already.

I've been here since the 90s.

I had my kids in 2005 and 2008.

There are 35 kids at our tiny bus stop with more and more bus stops like this every few blocks.

Not too mention the neighbors buying the SFH homes in my neighborhoods with 2-3 kids under the age of 5.

This is not going away.

We spoke at the Board meeting about capacity when my now 5th grader was in Kindergarten.

People aren't leaving. We are zoned Key/ASF and families are not only stating put in the SFHs, but they are staying in the townhomes and the Lofts and condos. It's like the city now.

WAKE UP!!!

Which is it? Those of us who shall be most affected, those of us with pre k children, should be the most interested and loudest voices? Or we shouldn't give a fuck, because things will be just fine. Let the people who will have kids long out of school make the decisions?
Yeah. That seems like it'll work out fantastic.

It's paralysis by analysis with this County. If we do this it'll hurt this, if we do that, it'll hurt that. Right. Just build the school already. Rich folk having three, other folk having three and more, and no. one. leaves. In part because of the schools, ironically. It's like overgrazing the commons or whatever that principle is. The Key/ASFS zone is part of the problem in my view. We are bilingual as it is so we don't want Key. What I read about Science Focus concerns me, what with the Chairman Mao praise science above all vibe. I just want a regular neighborhood school.

The required 500+ signatures incredibly quick....less than 24 hours.

The masses have spoken. And it was signed by people with and without kids. As well families with kids already past HS.

Ball is in your court, Murphy/Board/Dolts.

Oh yes---a gondola into Georgetown or, perhaps, another AFH building...in luxury apartments in prime location next to Metro woke are kids have the 3-9pm HS shift in the trailer park.

My favorite idea of all from an earlier DCUMer was to put the County Board in trailers until they gave the School Board enough money and land to build the facilities the kids would need.

^^^ if you missed something, then you must not have been paying attention at last night meeting, where they magically some up with some more seats.
Dubious, but they aren't speaking of shifts now...
