Agree 1000% Personally, I could not care less if some rich dude wants to drive an expensive car. Good for him. OP why do you care? Do you truly have no frivolous purchases that someone also could judge as "wasteful"? Diamond engagement ring? how 'wasteful' and how dare you contribute to human rights abuses. 'Financially ridiculous' to spend that amount of $$$ for a rock Organic food from Whole Foods? how wasteful to spend the extra cash. Plus, how dare you shop there and contribute to their poor labor practices New clothes? Why buy new clothes ever, a few small holes won't hurt anything. New clothes are so wasteful, haven't you hear about the high cost of fast fashion? New iphone? how wasteful to buy a new smart phone each year, do you know that there are now 50 million tons of e-waste a year? Have kids? As PP mentioned, a child will do irreparable damage to the environment. Talk about waste. |
| Never saw the appeal of a luxury car. My father is a biglaw partner and my parents live in a big house in Bethesda, and he still drives a toyota. |
Then you have poor imagination. I may not be into scrap booking or free climbing a shear cliff, but I can see the appeal. I may not want to live in Bethesda, or anywhere else in MD for that matter, but I can see the appeal. |
Really. You don't see the appeal AT ALL. Really. You just can't understand why ANYONE would want to drive a luxury car? |
How must one prove "game" before buying such a vehicle? Number of posts on a profilic PUA forum? Lifts in your shoes? Bank statements? Number of fantasy football wins? |
| I was at the Mercedes dealer today. They have a S63 AMG on the floor. MSRP was over $200,000. I cannot imagine driving a Camry or an Accord when I could afford this machine of pure luxury. |
lol |

How about to each their own?
|
Oh ye of thy pooreth earnings. |
So what did you pick up from the Mercedes dealer today PP? |
Sorry. I was being careless with my language. I should have said "it never appealed to me." |
An oil change. |
| I prefer Jaguars |
|
Yea but Jaguars are a bit too understated, except for the new F Type. I think they are still digging themselves out of the funk they were in back in the 90s.
A few more cars like the F Type and they should get back on track. |
The funk was caused by a reputation for frequent and expensive repairs. My generation (late boomers) stayed the heck away from them. |
