Intestinal worms. . .I nearly passed out

I had pinworms in my early 20s. At first I thought all the little white things on my inner thighs were just tiny pieces of lint or cotton from my underwear. Imagine my horror when those things started MOVING!

I think I caught it early because I was able to get rid of it pretty quickly. The doc suspects undercooked pork from my date at Benihana's. It was a really long time before I ate pork again.

More importantly, did you date that guy again?

HA!! Funny you should ask. No. He turned out to be a pig himself. Treated me like crap after I refused "anal"...so I ended that one fast.

I have to go wash my entire body and house now, and maybe do a couple of shots. Later!

Too bad he's not the one who ended up with them. Maybe he'll run into them one day while pursuing that interest.

Surgically removed when he started seizing.

My husband had the same thing. He got it while traveling duribg his gap year. Dr said from a strawberry in Egypt. He went to several countries though. Grand mal seizures led to diagnosis. He still gets petit mals from scar tissue.

Good call. Anal and worms sounds like a bad combination.

So 8 year-old DD scratches her butt a lot.

Let's say I give her pills to de-worm, she poops in the toilet and sees what OP sees.

How the hell would an eight year-old react to that?!?! My guess is tht the therapy bills would be astronomical.

Not trying to be snarky, but it would suck for her to go untreated. Pinworms are pretty harmless, but can throw off absorption of nutrients, cause discomfort, and irritability in kids. My son was being a little asshole, and sure enough, he had them.

The large majority of humans that have ever lived have had helminth infections, and have survived without therapy.

Who knows, she might be interested. At that age my sister and I used to race upstairs when we got home to watch the carpenter ants roam the bathtub. Took a few weeks for my parents to get someone out to get rid of them, and we were sorely disappointed when they did.

Oh, of course I would treat it! I was just thinking if she saw a toilet full of worms it would scar her for life.

But believe you me, I would treat them!
