Here is a situation I haven't come across before.

you haven't taken the time to read them all? If not then your points if view and opinions on the subject don't have much weight now, do they?

Anonymous
Actually, failing to read all the posts on this thread is probably a sign of great wisdom and maturity, and the thoughts of anyone who has behaved in such a manner should be given extra weight.

Would it be less weird if this Banker were in DC poking fun at someone asking an innocent question? Would that be acceptable to you?

Yes, it would be less weird because then it would be more probable that she has some interest in this site, other than for the purposes of poking fun. If she were in DC, it might be possible that she needed a local nanny and came across this site. That's how I initally found this site. But, what is the explanation of someone who stumbles on this site, who doesn't have kids and who doesn't live in DC? I understand that there is an off-topic section - but I understood this to mean that DC parents/nannies/caregivers can carry out off-topic discussions with each other. I've posted something about 90210 once on the off-site section, because I was curious if other DC parents were watching this show too. If I wanted to carry out a general 90210 discussion, I probably would have found a 90210 fan site instead.

I agree with this, and I'm the one saying it was weird. As for the person who said she / he thought I was leaving, I meant leaving the fight with the banker. Now if someone else wants to pile on and engage me for whatever reason because she thought the replies i wrote were lengthy, why not answer her that it's even stranger that she was taking the time to read them all?

So, you've replied on a thread that you haven't read and expect people to hold any weight into what you're saying? BRILLIANT

Agree with PP. I will only admit to almost eating the whole thing.

This Pacific Westcoaster clearly thinks very highly of herself. Yet she does not understand the difference between identifiable and non-identifiable information. Meanwhile, Jeff is running circles around her, sounding a lot like an information law attorney I know only too well.

The posting of non-identifiable information is not personal. Neither is it a threat, direct or implied. For all of this Banker's tra-la-la and oh-I'm-so articulate, she keeps making mistakes that belie the fact that, whatever fancy degrees she may have or fancy place she works, she's pretty fucking stupid.

The one time there was a highly controversial person on this thread? And everyone knew her name? Jeff did not mention her place of employment, even when he wanted to literally beat her with a stick. That would have been identifiable information. Potentially harmful. But he didn't go there. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

And I agree with the poster who mentioned Morrisette. Everyone thought that song was soooo deep. But it should not have been titled, "Isn't it ironic?" It should have been titled, "Isn't it a bummer?"

I think the Banker is a bummer. A pretty fucking stupid bummer. And I KNOW she's reading this.

I meant pp 18:12 -- the opinion of someone who refused to waste their time reading all of this redundant tripe should held in higher regard than those who have.

I always thought the "fire her immediately" posts were coming from a funny nanny. Too bad.

You misunderstand. I've read the posts because some of them were mine. I fully agree I wasted my time on this, but why the hell not? As I said, work has been slow and my nights are spent fending off late second trimester heartburn at the moment while DH blissfully snores. So I come on here to make my heartburn worse, I guess. For better or for worse, I've read or at least skimmed most of this long ass thread. But someone came on here and was tossing rockets saying I was writing awfully lengthy replies for someone who supposedly doesn't care (because I used the phrase "I don't give a crap where you live," I guess) and I just thought that was rich, coming from someone who wasted her own time READING all of the posts. Who gives a shit and all, but for the record, I've read the posts I've been responding to. I am just surprised that anyone else would be a willing audience to this. It's getting tedious even to me.
