Here is a situation I haven't come across before.

Wow! I just opened this thread and this has reached a whole level I never thought I'd see on DCUM, which is saying something!

I'm mostly just responding though to say that not all people who post on here from the PNW are troublemakers, but I'm bummed that there are a couple who are and giving "outsiders" a bad name. I moved away from DC a couple of years ago (now live in PNW) and clearly am still regularly on this site. In fact, I just sent a feedback email to my local, very kumbaya, parenting site suggested they take a look at the DCUM Forums to potentially add a similar message board function to their site. I hope they don't take a look and come across this thread otherwise they will think my suggestion was crazy!

I also have yet to see one single reason why my input is second class because it comes from the west coast, despite repeated requests for both. Are all east coasters this evasive?

Are you all sure your spelling correctly. I went back to check above and not sure what is exactly misspelled. And once again, I'm not the backtracker poster. It's already been established that people got us mixed up. I never backtracked on a thing because I didn't say anything about the place of employment being mentioned. Banking magnate here. This really has done on too long. I thought about it last night and this whole thing is just silly. Maybe Aunt Flo is due for a visit, I don't know. If someone you're having a discussion with keeps hammering away on a point that you've already conceded, it makes one think that that person isn't comprehending the argument itself. Yes, it would be less weird because then it would be more probable that she has some interest in this site, other than for the purposes of poking fun. If she were in DC, it might be possible that she needed a local nanny and came across this site. That's how I initally found this site. But, what is the explanation of someone who stumbles on this site, who doesn't have kids and who doesn't live in DC? I understand that there is an off-topic section - but I understood this to mean that DC parents/nannies/caregivers can carry out off-topic discussions with each other. I've posted something about 90210 once on the off-site section, because I was curious if other DC parents were watching this show too. If I wanted to carry out a general 90210 discussion, I probably would have found a 90210 fan site instead.

I agree with this, and I'm the one saying it was weird. As for the person who said she / he thought I was leaving, I meant leaving the fight with the banker. Now if someone else wants to pile on and engage me for whatever reason because she thought the replies i wrote were lengthy, why not answer her that it's even stranger that she was taking the time to read them all?
