Hi, I'm Larla. I know my daughter posted a pic of my license earlier but also here's one of the things that my parents had to get custom made for me since you can't find anything in a gift shop with my stupid name on it. Yes, I called myself Wawa because I couldn't say my name, I was also called larvae by nasty kids at school, you guys were right with that stuff. I am 44 and from a suburb in NJ (not a trailer park in West Virginia lol). Because of this thread I am thinking back to all the people that always told me how beautiful my name is and thinking that they may have all been BSing me. I do hate having to say that my name is "Carla with an L" but I do like having a name that is different. I breed hedgehogs currently and my dream is to open an exotic pet store that I planned to name "Larla's Exotics", after reading this thread I am rethinking the name. I will now always think of myself as a "special snowflake", you guys are hilarious!!!

This is so great. This needs its own thread. I have so many questions.
What are the other sisters name? Where is this book you speak of? If there is a parenting how to book by a parent who named their kid Larla I have to see it. How offended was real larla when she read all this? #larlalives |

| All I can say is that it must have blown the daughter's mind to be googling her mom's name and to find all these references to "Larla". It must have been pretty confusing since it gets brought up in just about every girl name thread and in any thread where someone is sarcastically commenting on somebody's parenting... "Wow all these Larlas out there!" |

| What I have learned from this thread (at least the last couple of pages) is that you can give your child a name that lots of people think is unfortunate and she will turn out just fine, as will her child. |
