I had my DC at the age of 43, and wasn't on fertility drugs or hadn't had procedures. Had a healthy baby. |
| It can definitely happen in your 40's, I had my first at 42, and I'm trying for dc#2 at 43.5. |
| PP what r u trying? I'm 41 and just starting with an RE, so far my tests look good. |
8:54....natural? How long TTC? Do you have other children? Congrats!
No luck for me here TTC as an AMA (single using donor sperm). |
First BFP ever and I'm 43.5, now when do I let myself believe it's real?
When you are no longer able to get sleep bc you have a baby, that's when it really dawned on me that I was a mom.
I just had my first consult with SG and the RE wouldn't even consider anything but donor egg bc of my age (46). I haven't even had any tests done yet, is this normal?
Yes, I'd say that's normal. There might be a clinic or two that would work with you (New Hope in NY is one), but really, DE is the way to go at your age. (I say, as someone who is 47.) |
Damn, so you'll be retired when your kid is starting college. Outstanding. |
A friend of mine just had a baby at 43 - and they weren't doing any fertility treatments. It was actually not even planned. So yes, it can happen. But for many many people it doesn't happen.
New poster here. Does it make you feel like a big girl to be a bitch to other women? |
Just go away. |
My DH's father had him @ 30 and retired when he was 12. He's been retired, 75% of salary for over 20 years now. YEA FOR UNIONS! |
So what's wrong with that? Both my parents were retired when I started college (they were not very old - 58 and 60 - but we lived in a country where people retired very early). I never thought there was something wrong with that and can't recall anyone else saying anything. |
PP is that country going bankrupt like Greece??
