The “renamed” DOGE personnel were previously granted edit-access. Same access under a different name.
Unlawful access has already enabled targeting, doxing, harassment of individuals.
Americans who do not work for the federal government are vulnerable to leaked data and enables targeted harassment, violence, arrest, deportation, identity theft, financial fraud, et al.
Voting record/political affiliation
Social media platforms: 1st amendment rights
Financial information: tax returns, federal benefits, and any government payments.
Health information: Medicare, Medicaid, or Veterans Administration (VA) records.
Private records: privately held health data
Social Services and Public Benefits information: food assistance (WIC, SNAP), social security and disability income, housing assistance
Education information: educational history, federal student aid records, government-funded research
Immigration information: Any visa or immigration benefits for which you applied, or information on applications for individuals you have sponsored
Treasury Department prohibited access to personal taxpayer data, however, DOGE was
not blocked from accessing data at:

Departments of Commerce
Education
Energy, Labor
Health and Human Services
Transportation
