American Flag In Front of House ...

Put up one of those blue line flags instead.

The U.S. flag flown is a sure sign that MAGA-supremacists live there.

These threads always make me LOL. Out here in the real world lots of people, Republicans and Democrats, fly the American flag and take pride in our country despite our political differences. Also, there are good reasons to post "No trespassing" signs on your property in rural areas where land boundaries aren't as clear and hunting is common.

Why can’t people just fly one of those seasonal festive-type flags, with Fall leaves or Frosty or something on it?

No trespassing signs are pretty common on wooded lots of several acres.

OP here. That seemed the obvious answer to me as well before I posted here, and then I tried to find some. The short of it is that they don't tend to make those to be flown on a regular type of flag pole, which is what is on my tree (the term is "halyard" flag, lol, I know too much about this at this point). I found a very small number of them, but they were ugly AI designs that look worse than nothing. I remember the lovely colorful things folks flew in the 80s when I was a kid, like flowers for spring, or whatever, and I'm not finding them. I found a light blue flag with a few snowflakes and the word "Winter" emblazoned on it, as if we all need the season labeled lest we forget what time of year it is or something -- but nothing nice looking.

Same, and it's telling which side uses "hate speech" more but of course they're the better party

Which “real world” are you talking about?

Well, did we forget which country we live in and that's why we're flying the US flag?

There’s just not much to be proud of right now. DH is retired military and he put out for about 12 hours on 4th of July out of sheer obligation and nostalgia for the years he was proud to serve, but it didn’t feel good. We’re no longer the good guys and we’re no longer a country to admire.

America is the most racist country in the world.

No, it’s not. You are way off on that.

I was at the Ravens game last night and during the national anthem, the crowd visibly and audibly responded after the line "the flag was still there". I felt moved in a patriotic way for the first time in a long time, and it felt good.

Not PP. But ... ok? I've traveled the world quite a bit and would agree with you, at least to say that the US is not "the most racist" place I've been. But it's so far up there towards the top, and racism and white supremacy are so ingrained into our institutions, that your comment is off base anyway.

Based on most objective research the US is one of the least racist countries in the world.
