Congratulations! Which program/instument? |
Auburn OOS acceptance rate is around 33 percent. I bet it goes lower this year. |
The real test would be how the Bama family would react if Saban went to coach at Auburn . A girl can dream.....

| Pitt w/$20k per year merit and Honors College. Also, in st Auburn. Engineering for both |
LOL, he’s having too much fun (making money with much, much less stress) being a sportscaster and churning out some pretty darn funny commercials. I’m somewhat shell-shocked they cut Freeze loose even before the Iron Bowl and that Pearl walked away right before their season started. Troubled times for AU Athletics. But they have some upgraded Kinesiology facilities and that’s our DC’s interest. DH is the alum. /sidebar over

Most excellent! 🦅 |
| How are people already getting decisions??? Wasn't the ED deadline only a few days ago? |
Most of these schools don’t have ED. They’re big state schools with rolling or quasi-rolling admissions. |
Thank you for all this. I think this is the most positive thread I've ever read on here and it's awesome. |
My son has received acceptances from some schools that say they have early action. Turns out they are really rolling admissions. |
DD that I previously noted on this thread with high stats (NMSF, 1550+, 20 AP/DE, 3.95+ unweighted) has not heard yet so it may still be in batches or by major. She applied early October. |
| Congrats all- such a positive thread. There’s talent and opportunity everywhere. |
Many of these schools have rolling admissions, have several “rounds” of it, or even release by program or geographic area (some do “in-state” first). So a cautionary and encouraging note to those reading through: just because you see an acceptance to a school your DC has applied to and they haven’t heard back means little. Have hope. Be positive. There are literally months of these good news posts to come!! |
| My kid has one OOS acceptance, but is waiting for an in-state option EA to make their decision. Our college savings plan is for in-state schools. We would take a 10% penalty if they go OOS. |
