Bama poster here. I appreciate the banter around the rivalry. Not to sidetrack the purpose of this thread, but some fun and lightheartedness on this forum is a welcome change of scenery.
Good luck to all of our amazing kids!

Two rolling safeties so far (ASU and Nebraska - received merit from ASU, an expecting merit from Nebraska based on info on their site).

ED decision will come mid Dec + have quite a few EA’s out. We’ll see what happens but nice to have those rolling acceptances in, too!

DC2 in already at Auburn, Liberty, LSU, Shenandoah, and Texas A&M. Only ones with any $ (so far, others still to come) are Liberty and Shenandoah, neither of which are serious contenders.

Auburn was an EA deadline admit, others are/were rolling.

Congrats to the other potential War Eagles!!🦅

I really liked Auburn, but my kid ended up at Texas A&M, & loved it. The alumni are incredibly numerous, cohesive & helpful. They helped kid get hired in the middle of the Covid mess, when there were hiring freezes all over the place.

That is so awesome to hear. We will likely head to TX in the Spring for their sole Admitted Students Day. It will probably be a tossup between A&M and Tennessee (it’s tough to wait til their expected Dec release!). DC excelled at JROTC and marching band in HS and we wish she would consider the Corps but I don’t think that’s in the cards.

DC is already thrilled and it’ll be a very tough decision! Thanks for the encouraging words from an Aggie Parent.

Absolutely!

Hope you report back on how things transpire. Congrats!

My kid applied to New Brunswick as well but has an artistic review as part of their process so notification on a different timeline. Good luck to yours!

It is a safe-space to seek refuge from the hell-hole America has become because of the trump administration.

DP. Ah! Thanks for the clarification....and congrats! Sounds like Rutgers operates a bit like the UNC-system with same "general" name + location extensions, except for NC State (which refuses to play along - and rightly so says this NCSU alum!).

That's great news and I hope the artistic review comes back with a too.
