I don’t know if they like Trump. Plus Trumps other messages have NOT been about peace. It’s the whole package. Not one act. Trump is not the peace prize package.

Interesting that they value beautifully spoken words more than actions.

Trump is not sowing peace in his own country. Those are his actions. The NPP doesn't go to authoritarians or dictators.

All I see in her response is support for whatever military action Trump has planned with Venezuela. This pick will be embarrassing within the next few years.

This is possible.

This woman 100% deserves a prize for bravery, but I'm not convinced she deserves the NPP at this point. Is she the next Nelson Mandela or is she going to become the next Maduro?

Even more, after the prize is announced, regardless of whether he gets it or not, Israel will resume killing Palestinians on a mass scale. Netanyahu is only making things nice for Trump in order to set things up for the prize

What country did she bring peace to

Venezuela? It's a socialist paradise.

I think President Trump should definitely get it next year for what he has accomplished culminating in today’s hostage release and peace accord in Gaza.

This is to say nothing of the administration’s quiet, behind the scenes defusing of the India-Pakistani blow up, too.

I think the only way the Nobel Committee retains any shred of credibility is to award it to him next year for what he has accomplished this year.

Augusto Pinochet, mi General!

My general, Augusto Pinochet
Your beloved people greet you
You were a statesman, a great liberator
You were a president of our great nation.

My general, Augusto Pinochet
There is your image in each unit
Today your soldiers march happily
With gallantry and great loyalty.
Today your soldiers march happily
With gallantry and great loyalty

My general, Augusto Pinochet
You are the new Father of the homeland
Your name is written in history of Chile
As Don Bernardo O'Higgings has been.

You are remembered with great affection
We thank you from our hearts
You are an example for the whole world
And a great pride of the Chileans
You are an example for the whole world
And a great pride of the Chileans

My general, Augusto Pinochet
You are the new Father of the homeland
Your name is written in history of Chile
As Don Bernardo O'Higgings has been.

You are remembered with great affection
We thank you from our hearts
You are an example for the whole world
And a great pride of the Chileans
You are an example for the whole world
And a great pride of the Chileans‘

This was a very popular song in our house when I was a child. I smile and remember it and recall singing along to it whenever anyone mentions General Pinochet. He was truly a great man and a hero to all the people of Chile.

I forgot to add that I posted this as a translated version because I know most of you do not speak Spanish. It sounds much better in Spanish. In translation it does not hit the ear right.

He basically earned this one with his war on Venezuela — Machado said so herself.

So when he wins next year for Gaza, he will be first president with two peace prizes (one honorary , one official)

The problem is that Delcy Rodriguez is per the Constitution Venezuela's leader now, and she along with Diosdado Cabello, Vladimir Padrino Lopez and others in Maduro's circle would need to be removed in order for Urrutia to be made leader.
