If kids go to Catholic, is family expected to attend mass on Sundays?

DC didn’t even go to Catholic school and I can confirm that Sunday afternoons are safest. Avoids church for the church-going and most sports for the sports-playing.

I’m actually very much Catholic. I just don’t believe it freakin matters when you go mass. Such a dumb thing to obsess over.
