Why is "not living in fear" so important to conservative identity?

I agree that they should lighten up. After all Mr Brown had only been arrested 14 times across the past 12 years so this incident was essentially unforeseeable. Who among us has not had a bad day and murdered a stranger in frustration?

Republicans should just be happy and embrace the suck. And they should champion efforts to defund the police for sure.

Is that kinda like how democrats are supposed to embrace having their children slaughtered by white men with guns.

This. And having their underage daughters up for grabs by conservative politicians and religious leaders. It’s just locker room talk!

This line always makes me laugh. First of all, you have no idea who lives where - of course DC residents post here about the crime in DC. Maybe not you and your crowd, but there are plenty of us who are happy to have law and order restored to DC, even if you're not.

Secondly, all we have to do is revisit all the old DeSantis threads to see Democrats who *didn't even live in Florida* rant endlessly about DeSantis's policies there. Same with Abbott in Texas. Pretty disingenuous (unsurprising) for you to claim otherwise.

Right but we let Florida govern itself and we never trampled on the citizens. False comparison.

DP. Exactly. Please tell me when DCUM sent the national guard to “restore order” into FL. Such a bad faith argument.

Replace all democrats.

The only way to do that is through genocide.

Once again, MAGA shows us who they really are, and what they fantasize about.

Yep. You don’t get to lecture everybody about crime, and then “jokingly” suggest one of the worst crimes of all.

LOL. Dems ranted about DeSantis burning books and cutting legal abortion. Neither of those have anything to do with fascism. They didn’t involve overspending federal tax dollars, while ballyhooing about “waste”. Honestly, MAGA cannot comprehend basic logic.

Modeling from the top.

Trump is terrified of humiliation. When I look at the GOP, I only see Republican politicians bending to Trump’s every wish, covering for him out of fear his pettiness and retribution.
