Is this one homeowner an outlier or just disgruntled? Or is this is a systemic issue?

Last thing I need is an HOA headache. Anyone have info or background? Am I worrying too much?

I suggest looking at the other side of the Route 1 bridge. Potomac Greens and Old Town Greens are townhomes and condos which all have garages! Separate HOAs but have not heard of any issues (especially not to this magnitude). We loved living there until we moved out of the area.

Yes, this option offers a lot better value. This HOA does not restrict you from using any common areas, nor does it threaten you with towing. For just $40 more a month, you also gain access to a pool, gym, and clubhouse.

Those fees are way kore than $40.

I have no idea what math you are using. https://www.realtor.com/realestateandhomes-detail/1855-Potomac-Greens-Dr_Alexandria_VA_22314_M91634-48630?from=srp-list-card

Clearly says $165 per month. I hope your lawsuit doesn’t have this many errors.

165- 125 =40. I am not Frank and I don't live in Potomac Yard, but I a glad he takes so much rent-free space up in your vacuous mind.

You are definitely Frank. It’s not hard to see the IP Addresses of those who post here. Will post them at the appropriate time.

Frank has you so worked up you're either lying about your ability to observe ISPs or you are a LEO admitting to violating several people's constitutional rights protecting them from illegal search and seizure.

So, which is it?

I was wondering if we could get Vegas to post odds on Margo, the community manager, bowing out before the court ruling.

lol. Yes, go pay your lawyer $5000 to draft and file an amended complaint adding an allegation that “an anonymous poster on DCUM “threatened” to post ISPs.” Good luck! Should really help your case. You’ll need the help.

Ummm, people get sued and even arrested all the time for things they post oline while thinking they are 'anonymous'. You should Google that. It is most certainly a thing.

You must be on the Potomac Yard HOA board to have the right to tell people how they should spend their money. Good luck to that.

Anonymous wrote:There is a lawsuit. I've sorta been following it. The gist is the HOA decided to turn its street parking spaces, which are HOA common property, into reserved spaces for the use of only certain homeowners without garages. The street is maintained by HOA dues and parking was supposed to be first-come-first-serve - same as street parking in any city - but people who willingly bought homes without garages or driveways decided they wanted dedicated parking. So the HOA board took the parking spots and assigned them to individual owners.

There are a lot of homes in the DMV that don't have garages or parking. It's a current building trend with local govt and developers now to make more space for housing units and to cut down on vehicle ownership in favor of public transportation.

Whether a guy named Frank may or may not be MAGA or have problems with authority and temper control is immaterial. It doesn't make him wrong. Just easier to make him a scapegoat. The real problem is the HOA board apparently does not respect its bylaws, its common areas or its membership, and doesn't consider that its reputation is an asset to protect. This issue has already been litigated in Virginia in several other similar parking space cases and the HOAs lost every time. It seems irresponsible to do fight this again, even if insurance is paying for it. Isn't that the definition of insanity? To do the same thing over and over and expect to get a different result?

Spot on.

Soooooo scared. I’ll come back to this thread once a week and update everyone on how you’re all bark but no bite. Just like your HOA “lawsuit.”

Just parked in my lovely reserved spot in the common area. So nice! Luxury living! Thank you to all the residents who pay to maintain it! Much appreciated.

Why are you concerned about this if the case is meritless ?

Because it’s wasting everyone’s time.

"Everyone's time"? Why is it wasting your time other than your need to post about it? Go about your business. The lawyers are handling it, that's what they get paid for. This lawsuit may go on for years, but it does require participation from "everyone" while it does.
