The VHSL rules state you can not transfer for athletic purposes. ISN'T THAT PROOF ENOUGH?
Or I guess you could argue that they all happened to like Fairfax county Alexandria better than Woodbridge and they discovered this at the same time Overton became the Head Coach at Hayfield.

No it’s not enough proof. It’s speculation. The fact that Overton has such elite teams would make me think it, but the parents of the transfers said there were other reasons they factored in when deciding to transfer to Hayfield.

One could say the same thing about Westfields and Madison. I know quite a few kids just at those two schools who I have strong suspicions that they only go there because they want to play sports there. In fact I know it’s factual in some cases.

Really? You know of 20+ kids who transferred into Westfield or Madison in a single year to play a single sport?

Exactly! Overton and Hatfield were so blatantly cheating and thumbing their nose up at the rules that the VHSL had to do something. Again, it is hard to pinpoint one or two families reasons for transferring, but when 20 or more students up and leave a school and follow the coach who was at the previous school. It is obvious to everyone except those who support Hayfield in Overton that there is some cheating going on. Again, you can argue that that rule should not exist. I do not think that is an unreasonable argument, but currently it does exist and all School should be following the same rules.

No, but a coach known for elite football didn’t become the new coach at those schools either. Again, it looks bad, but doesn’t mean the coach did what was alleged.

Aren’t you then confirming that the transfers were for athletic purposes if who the coach is matters??
Your logic shows your lack of understanding of the rules. Get the rules changed if you want to roll that way, but until then you are cheating.

The parents said they moved to the Hayfield pyramid for different reasons. They work closer to the area, FCPS has better schools than where they came from, etc. no I wasn’t confirming anything.

Your reading comprehension isn’t up to par.

You literally just said the school got 20+ transfers because an elite coach moved into the school. My reading comprehension looks spot on and you have been caught in your delusion.
Also, are you that naive to think that 20+ families all happened to move to the exact same school at the exact same time frame because they just happened to be closer to work, or like FCPS better? Oh and also most of them are really good football players and a majority played for the same coach a year ago at a different school… If walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, and has feathers like a duck, it’s a duck. Again, I’m not sold that the rules should be that way, but those clearly are the rules and they were clearly broken by Hayfield. Overton is the only coach in FCPS football history that I can remember that was willing to blatantly and brazenly break the rules and dare someone to try to enforce them. And he almost got away with it except for the ADs text messages.

The Fairfax County judge didn’t agree with what you are saying.

The judge ordered that Hayfield could not be removed from the playoffs for two years until there was a hearing on the issues the VHSL had found. The court said, removing Hayfield from the playoffs before we have a true hearing on this case wouldn't be fair because the removal cannot be undone.
After that happened the texts messages came out and FCPS removed Hayfield from the playoffs. Hayfield then withdrew their case, which you don't do if you are going to win. Your argument is similar to a team saying they weren't beat by an opponent by refusing to play.

it wasn’t Hayfields decision to withdraw the case. Reid did that because she couldn’t take the pressure

The case was filed by hayfield parents. Not by FCPS.

A Fairfax County attorney took the case pro bono. If the Superintendent wanted to leave it alone, or suddenly begins to sabotage the case or sell Hayfield out. Now you have a conflict and Hayfield suddenly no longer has legal representation to continue the case.

Correct FCPS was not apart of the lawsuit. It was Hayfield parents with a private lawyer who chose to pursue the case against the VHSL and the court granted Hayfield a temporary injunction on the two year playoff ban. After FCPS removed Hayfield from the playoffs the parents never appeared back in court to fight the ban. Therefore the injunction ended and that is why Hayfield is still under the two year ban now.
An injunction is simply a “stay of execution” on the punishment. It means that the court feels the punishment cannot not be carried out until further details are heard at a hearing. Typically you need some relevant reason to be granted an injunction, but it is far from certain that you will follow that up with a win at the subsequent hearing. It simply means the court wants more details before it enables a punishment to take place.

The Overton people felt it was much easier to win the court of public opinion than the court of law.

Hayfield is no longer banned from postseason play.
