Racism is the only thing that kept the coach and the principal in there jobs to begin with. Both knowingly broke rules, lied about it to FCPS and the VSHL, then claimed unfair treatment. If they were white they would have been fired in July of 2024.

“Powerhouse” is yet to be determined. He is collecting a lot of talent, but half 3-4 teams on their schedule do the same. It will be interesting to see how they do. This will be the first season Overton has coached under the same rules as his opponents. Can he out coach St.Francis, the Connecticut school, etc.? We will finally get to see if he truly is a great coach. Don’t let them fool you though. Half of their schedule is trash.

There are plenty of qualified coaches applying. For whatever reason, they’re not getting interviews. One coach in particular, Franklin Weaver, would be an excellent fit.

If valor Dan is making decisions, nothing will make any sense at Hayfield. He will end up hiring a soccer coach to lead the football program.

How interesting that according to gatehouse, all 32 transfers were legit bonafide residents of the Hayfield boundary zone and yet all 32 have now disappeared, 32 families moving twice in one year?

From what I’ve heard they keep trying to hire a 2nd disaster and the Gatehouse keeps shutting them down.

Most of the former assistant coaches who were given teaching jobs have moved on to coaching at the St James, but still have their teaching positions at Hayfield. Teaching pays the bills not coaching and there are no teachers at the St James. It’s online school.
The administration at Hayfield has tried to hire multiple coaches over the past few months, but many backed out after realizing the principal was staying on and a couple others were turned away by gatehouse for issues in their previous positions.
