“Amy Bradley is Missing” Netflix

I think she went overboard, either on purpose or by accident.

I knew from so many of her photos that she was gay, before they broached that part of the story and her family's rejection of that side of her life was probably enough to make her consider ending it. I had a friend who did the same and was around the same age.

Its not rocket science. And the family are the last people on earth they want to blame. Who blames themselves?

I find it strange how much credence has been given to the eyewitnesses who have claimed to have seen her over the years. None seemed definitive and/or credible yet so much of the investigation seems to have hinged on their statements. Without their statements, it seems clear she fell overboard. I also really found her dad to be odd. His emotions just didn’t read as real to me.

It’s weird to me that so many people supposedly saw a young woman clearly being trafficked and didn’t say a word for years.

I KNOW!!! But I read the Wikipedia entry on her and it made it sound like the woman who saw her in the bathroom in Barbados actually did file some sort of report fairly soon. That Navy dude who was saying he would have gotten into trouble for being in an illegal brothel, so he didn’t report it for years? I mean what a piece of trash. I literally felt nauseous listening to him.

Her family would have heard her rifling through the closet to find another pair of shoes.

Google what a cabin looks like on that ship. Hint: they are tiny. There is barely any room to walk around. There is a small closet with wood doors. They make noise when you open and close them. Your luggage (and they had luggage for 4) is kept underneath the bed where the parents were sleeping.

I don’t think anyone could have slept through her walking around, looking for shoes, and opening/closing the metal door.

Have you ever walked past young guests’ cabin on a cruise ship? It looks like a bomb went off. There were probably shoes lying all over the floor. No rifling around needed.

Your young adult daughter has been up all night long drinking and is alone on your balcony on a cruise ship – you’re insane to leave her out there.

I completely agree. I cannot relate to that at all - as a daughter or as a parent. I would not have been smoking openly at age 23 on a trip with my parents. I would have had to sneak cigarettes. My parents wouldn’t have left me and my brother at the club without reminding us to stay together and come home together. The four of them were all there together and then the parents left and Brad and Amy came back to the room separately. I find that odd and just not safe at all. I also can’t imagine leaving any family member drunk and alone out on a cruise ship balcony. Don’t these people think of worse case scenarios?

The videographer that was on the cruise ship compiling a highlight reel has videos posted on you tube of Amy and Yellow at the club. They are dancing together to various songs - one is All About the Benjamins and Amy is dancing almost in slow motion, like in a trance. You can hear the music and see everyone around her on the dance floor dancing at normal speed and she’s kind of moving in this really strange, slow way. Like she’s on ecstasy or something else. Definitely impaired beyond a few light beers. Then another song plays and Yellow is grinding up behind her and again, you see the entire dance floor and how everyone else is dancing like goofy, upbeat 90’s fast dancing and then those two grinding slowly smushed up together. It’s unsettling. I have no idea what really happened to her later that night/morning, but I definitely think there is more to the story about what happened with her the night before.

Agree, these people saying they would leave their young adult out on the balcony are full of it, they will probably still using Life360 when they have a young adult!

When I was 23 I was traveling internationally alone for work and pleasure. My relationship with my parents was not one where they would tell me what to do. I have a 22 year old son— I might wonder if he was comfortable out there but I wouldn’t make him come in. Also, I was just talking to a friend who’s been on many cruises—she said they always acted like they were in a safe small town. I don’t think it’s that strange. That said—there’s something fishy about her dad, the last one to see her alive out there on the deck.

This is why they are pushing the theory she was so pretty and trafficked, it's easier to do that then think about all the actions they took that might have prevented this from happening.

She was out there to smoke. Were guests still allowed to smoke in cabins back in 1998?

Regarding the theory that she was kidnapped to be trafficked—not saying it’s impossible, but I have a friend who worked with an organization that helps people who have been freed (in various ways) from trafficking situations. He worked there from the early 90s until about 2020. In the 90s most of the people who were trafficked were tricked into it. Offered legitimate sounding jobs in other countries and then were drugged, had passports stolen, etc. The scams were not as well known at that time, so they were successful and lucrative. Kidnapping was just not common or necessary. Again, not saying it’s impossible, but it doesn’t really make sense.

I don’t know whether she went overboard or got off the ship, but either way, there’s no definitive proof. The missing photos and multiple sightings that law enforcement found credible do make me wonder. Sadly, I don’t think her family will ever know for sure what happened to her. It’s heartbreaking what this has done to them.

The four family members were sharing the same cabin – she and her brother were guest of her parents on a cruise trip they won. If you think the parents let them keep shit all over the place you’re nuts.

You would leave your drunk 22-year-old son on the balcony of a cruise ship alone after he had literally been drinking all night long and had not slept? Parent of the year.

No… the brother left her out there alone after they had been drinking all night so he could pass out. She didn’t wake up and go out there to smoke. She had been out there since they got back from the disco.

They both returned to the cabin after drinking all night and went out on the balcony to smoke. He came in to sleep and she decided to stay on the balcony. Her cigarettes and lighter, which she’d had on the balcony, have not been found.

Agree something seems off with him. He did say he thinks she fell. I think he knows she did and maybe heard or saw it and was too drunk to do anything about it and has never admitted to it. His eyes were shifty and his story was odd.
I also thought the dad was strange and his retelling of the story didn’t really add up. I don’t understand the waking up and falling back asleep in a short period of time. You wouldn’t have been in such a deep sleep that you couldn’t hear someone going in and out of the room.
