I’m a federal grant manager. If this is truly a pause for a couple of weeks to make sure that DEI stuff doesn’t slip through, then the impact is going to be minor. I can’t speak for all agencies, but our awardees can still draw down versus their accounts. It’ll mess with timelines and some new or renewal things will be delayed.

However, if this is a prelude to something more nefarious, where the Executive Branch is trying to supersede the Legislative Branch, then we are in for quite the rollercoaster. I’d hope that the courts would step in there.

My brother in law was just about to start a job with a non profit
They let him know today they need to see what is up with their grant money now before he actually starts. He lives in Ohio.
