I think we’re on the wrong track, as in the MAGA crowd is removing fundamental rights of women. So the results of that poll may not mean what you think they mean. |
+1 I’m another one of those “wrong track” people and it’s because of the loss of women’s rights and the fact that we’re cooking the planet and killing so many species. Biden and Harris have done and are doing what they can, but they’re having to fight the GOP who want to end women’s humanity and to cook the world. |
+2 I absolutely would have said we're on the wrong track for the same reason |
He isn't running but his situation is relatable to this election because it's the number one reason not to vote for Trump that no one on either "side" can disagree with. Biden's mental health has obviously become a problem. It's difficult to be an effective leader when you're struggling to process daily briefings every day and it's tough to lead the world out of world wars when leaders of other countries don't respect the aptitude of the person that is supposed to be the leader of the free world. If Trump wins he will be in the same shoes as Biden the day he is inaugurated and that's a "leader" of whom 60% of the country doesn't approve of and very few on the world stage have respect for. Age absolutely matters. Biden could have possibly been a popular and effective POTUS 20 or 30 years ago. Trump never could at any age in my opinion but that is a point that other's can fairly argue. Long story short- Biden, despite some good things we think he has accomplished, has been a historically unpopular POTUS for 90% of his term. The effectiveness of his leadership has been impacted by his unpopularity. He hasn't been able to effectively lead on the world stage as evidenced by the ongoing wars. There is no reason to believe it will be any different with the just as old and mentally declining Trump. Say no to 80 year old presidents! Vote Harris! |
Harris's last event, brings out a celebrity to tell us
"If Harris wins, the whole country will be like Detroit". |
Who is "us"? You weren't there |
And I know people have said that the country is not going in the right direction due to the do-nothing Republican House, states like Texas, Lousiana, Florida with their draconian laws against women's health, and the rise of MAGA.
Going in the wrong direction is not necessarily talking about what's comign out of the White House and can easily be traced back to MAGA and GOP's terrible Congressional leadership. |
It's like Donald Trump is trying to lose and his base won't let him go.
https://thehill.com/homenews/4943056-lizzo-detroit-harris-rally/ Lizzo, famed singer-songwriter, joined Vice President Harris in Detroit for a Saturday rally where she highlighted her love for the city and jabbed at former President Trump’s negative comments about the Michigan city. “I’m so proud to be from this city,” Lizzo, a Detroit native, told the crowd. “You know, they say if Kamala Harris wins, then the whole country will be like Detroit, okay? Proud like Detroit. Resilient like Detroit,” she continued. “We’re talking about the same Detroit that innovated the auto industry and the music industry, so put some respect on Detroit’s name, okay!” The remarks were made after Trump compared the city to a “developing nation” during a campaign event last Thursday at the Detroit Economic Club. “Our whole country will end up being like Detroit if she’s your president. You’re going to have a mess on your hands,” Trump said on Oct. 10 about Harris. Since then, the Harris-Walz team has fired back with an ad blitz and additional stops in the city to pick up voters who may have been offended by the Republican nominee’s remarks. During her Saturday rally in the Motor City, Harris walked on stage wearing a “Detroit vs. Everybody” t-shirt under her usual blazer. |
The loss of “women’s rights”? The end of “women’s humanity”? All because some states have implemented laws protecting unborn babies? All countries have laws governing abortion, because the humanity of the child has to be considered as well. I find you and other women who are hyperfocused on abortion as the singular most important issue to be very strange. |
The Republicans in Michigan tried to enforce a 1931 abortion law as soon as Roe v Wade fell. They can't be trusted. I don't Sally into abortion clinics as birth control but I did have fertility struggles. If needed immediate basic health care if something went wrong with my badly wanted baby, guess what? That includes an abortion. People who would put forward a 1931 law can not be trusted to care about women's health. |
No lies detected. |
+1. As a woman, and as a mother, it is very bizarre. |
+2 same. These are common restrictions even among progressive nations in Europe and they are being sold as a turn toward fascism. |
DP. The states shouldn’t be able to do that. The vast majority of Americans support legal abortion under Wade. This is mainly an issue in the US and other ultra-religious or authoritarian countries. This is an issue here, unlike how it’s a non-issue across Asia, because of 1/ minority rule, and 2/ people who wrongly can’t separate church and state, although it is clearly guaranteed in the constitution. Further, if you can’t see the goal is to ban crossing state lines in many states and/ir make a federal abortion ban you’re willfully obtuse. |
Europe’s rights aren’t crippled like many US states are. Neither is Asia. All of you are disingenuous. Also, it’s an economic issue, this a social issue. But sure act like “I don’t understand,” when you feel the desire to control women. Not to mention how many men suffer when they can’t feed their family or their partner dies because of healthcare she should have been able to access. |
