Who knew a sloppy joe could be so polarizing? It's made with beef, onion, green pepper, ketchup, brown sugar and some spices. I don't really see how it's any more offensive than a hamburger.
Jello is one I grew up with that we never eat, but recently I made a jello cake for my grandma's birthday. She always made them for us growing up. I bought more jello than I needed so I made a box for my kids and they thought it was the best thing ever! |
I make that at least once a year. I could eat it by the spoonful. It might be my very favorite thing ever. |
Yes, the stuff on the stove! |
Did you not read the title of the thread here? This whole thing is about food people no longer seem to eat ... that would, by very definition, be stuff that people like you "never eat." Just couldn't help but pop in here with your ageism? |
A lot. And this is easily Googled. |
Spinach, sour cream and water chestnuts, lol. Never understood the water chestnuts in there. Well, I mean, I do -- they are there for texture, for the crunch. But it doesn't work. |
No. She is really, really correct here. |
Lentil SJ's are amazing. |
I still buy this when I see it! It makes perfect tuna salad. |
Yes for the crunch. When PF Chang's was new and actually good and had good lettuce wraps, that what was in the mixture to give them the crunch too. I made some decent copycat ones at home. Really think water chestnuts should be easier to find. I sift through the tins and make sure none of them are from China. |
Shake, shake, shake that pan! |
It’s like she thinks she will never be old! |
You have the burden of proof, PP. Nobody has to Google because you say jump. |
Lunchables are a lot less common than when I was a kid. They still exist but it felt like they were HUGE in the 90s. |
Cube steak! Sometimes called Salisbury steak.
We also ate a decent amount of Stouffer's frozen Chicken cordon bleu with tater tots! DH misses Shake & Bake. |
