She said she wanted to mitigate price gouging....through strengthening federal enforcement of rules on the books already.

The rules on the books (laws) only mention price gouging in reference to emergency situations. Like a natural disaster.

Which clearly need to be amended to include economic and heath situations like....COVID.

Well, inflation is a disaster for so many Americans right now.

As a result of COVID and price gouging. Which is why she wants to try to do something about it. The GOP already voted down an anti-price-gouging measure last year, so they clearly are not interested in helping the average American on this issue. Trump has absolutely zero policy measures to help. Just saying "I am going to reduce inflation" will not actually result in, you know, reducing inflation.
