Missing Manassas Park woman - Mamta Kafle Bhatt

1) How did a part time IT help desk employee and a part time nurse afford a house that nice, as well as a Tesla?

2) Does anyone even know if this Nadia even wants to take custody of an infant? That's a lot to ask someone...

Nadia has worked tirelessly to lead search efforts and spread the word. There's a gofundme to help her search efforts, which may possibly be used to support the orphaned little girl. By all accounts Nadia seems like a trustworthy, determined, and incredibly kind woman.

I bet that disgusting man was thinking no one would raise the alarm about her being missing because she had no family here (and they are far away and essentially powerless) and not many friends. I'm certain he was counting on this not turning into a huge story and maybe even ending up being something like a cold missing person's case. But Nadia made sure that did not happen - so Mamta had at least one true friend here who loved her and fought for her and her daughter, and that made a huge difference.

+100

Here's the gofundme. There are lots of nutty gofundme's out there (most of them), but I trust this one. Nadia was seen making a list of things she'd need to take care of the little girl. And no, she's not putting pictures of herself out there.

I hope she is going through the foster care system to get the training/approval required of her and that she will give up the child to its family in Nepal when the time comes.

This post is a good example of how women born and raised here in the US have NO idea how good we have it. I am an immigrant and this is what life is like for millions of women all over the world (not just Nepal).

Women don’t have to ‘agree’ to anything. They are told what to do, when to do it and how to do it.

Just thank whatever higher power you believe in that you were born a woman in the US instead of any of these countries.

How creepy does the husband look???

Nepal is a very poor country. It would prob be better if one of her mothers nursing friends adopted her, and maintained contact with the family/culture.

What?!

Perhaps you ought to take your own advice instead of defending a murderer. Anyone saying "how could he possibly have done it?" is either an absolute moron, or a scumbag trying to defend an awful murderer.

I don't think you understand how the legal system works in America. What are you, 12? Until there is DNA evidence, you have no idea.

Bullshit. Pure bullshit. Millions of us are in arranged marriages to perfectly wonderful partners, who go the extra mile for their families. This loser is an anomaly. Don’t paint with a broad brush.

How do you all know it was an arranged marriage? I saw a photo on Mamta’s FB from a few years ago showing her and Naresh in the Army uniforms.

Nadia should have custody if she “wants” to, then give the baby to the baby’s grandmother, Mamta would probably want her family to take care of the baby.

I wondered the same. There were tenants too, but they had to qualify for financing.

He has been unemployed for months and was refusing to care for the baby if she went to work?

It is an established fact that it was an arranged marriage.

He does not seem to have had a dishonorable discharge but wonder about the long term unemployment and the discharge from the training academy for concerning reasons.

I don’t know that we know that. She may have been thrilled her child would have the opportunities available in America and would prefer the child be raised by her friend of a kind woman from the Nepalese community in America. It’s just hard to say unless she said something to someone. People sacrifice all sorts of things to come to this country, and perhaps that what she would have wanted for her daughter.

He probably thought he could get away if they never find the body. But that’s not how that works.

Psa to men from countries where you can do whatever you want to women with no consequences:

You can't do that here. If you murder your wife, you will be arrested and justice will be served.

I hope your PSA includes American men, born and raised in America?

Because murdering your wife isn't an ethnic or international thing. It is a Y chromosome thing, and men of all demographics, nationalities, religions, etc do it. Included a hell of a lot of American men, who think they'll get away with it.
