DP. Just stop. You slobbering all over this egotistical old man who had to be forced out is beyond cringeworthy.
I'm
Also - how many nasty comments have you made about Trump? And yet, you sanctimoniously lecture others about “saying something nice.”

Let's see if I can find Dominic's today about trump. I thought about it and the man has no redeeming qualities. He lies, he is a serial adulterer, cheats people he owes money, a convicted felon, convicted of sexual assault which every woman on earth would consider rape.

"Dominic's today" should be "something nice to say"

But Biden’s actions ultimately were selfless. He is stepping down. He has acted for the greater good throughout his presidency. I’m sorry you can’t see this, but Biden, and Obama before him, have extended the hand to Republicans, over and over again.

You can’t actually be pretending to yourself that had high-level Democrats not been forcing him to withdraw, he would have done so on his own? As late as just a few days ago, he was adamant that he would NOT be withdrawing and was extremely testy and rude to anyone who asked him about it. A selfless person would have made this decision a year ago. We all know this, but the gaslighting is now just part of the left’s MO.

No. It’s letting someone who has done an enormous amount for our party and the country for his entire life (and during times of enormous personal tragedy) leave with as much dignity as possible.

Imagine how much dignity he could have left with a year ago - or even a few months ago - had he voluntarily decided not to run again and given the DNC all the time they needed to vote on new candidates. That would indeed have been dignified and praise-worthy. Alas, that's not what happened.

But then the voters might have picked someone not acceptable to deep pocketed donors. And let’s be real, it’s their party, not yours.

An appreciation of the blessings he received to go from Scranton to the oval, a love of this country, a look to the future. Truly a beautiful encapsulation of what the country was built on.

He never explained why he was dropping out of the race, after winning all the primaries.

Of course he did. Did you actually listen to his address tonight?

He said what he did merited a second term, but for the good of the country he wouldn't seek it.
We know the answer, but he never gave an explanation.

Because we know the answer. He doesn’t have to state the obvious.

Then why give an address at all? And if it's the reason we all know, how does he justify not resigning?

Did he fall down? Look at that jawline.

I loved Biden's address. The stakes are too high with a convicted felon and would-be dictator trying to exploit the country for his own benefit again. Biden spelled it out. Democracy is at stake. He demonstrated that leadership is not about ego, but service. Being president is not being king, it's being a servant to the country and people.

He did the right thing and will be remembered accordingly. Trump and his vision are indefensible and will be remembered by history that way. We can not risk another Trump presidency.

Haven’t Rs been demanding proof of life and saying he was in hospice and he was so far gone he didn’t know he had resigned and Jill had done it for him and that signature was faked? Well, there you go. All concerns alleviated. Carry on.

It’s possible to get a tan while isolating with Covid. Ask me how I know.

+1000 who can trust these liars?

Over the last 24 years the gop has had the white house 12 and the dems have had it 12. Where are you getting this perpetuity stuff from?

Watched the YouTube version. No quivering hands. Great speech. His stepping down was to unite his party, not because he felt incapable of continuing his work. I'm sure the majority of the complaints alleging that kamala endorsement is unfair or that he's senile are coming from the opposition. BTW. Benjamin Franklin was iirc 81 when he sweltered through the 1787 constitutional convention.

Biden is old school. Bless him.

Same here. I bawled. I feel safe in Biden’s America. He is a special person - humble, kind, authentic, warm, wise, and a unifier. His age provided wisdom. I will truly miss him in the White House and political landscape. God bless him.

Dear lord. We have not been living in the same country the past 3 1/2 years.

Biden has been anything but a unifier. He can talk all he wants about unity but he absolutely has not walked the talk. And do all kind, warm, authentic men deny the existence of their granddaughter for years and have yet to meet her?

You have bought into the media’s remake of Biden. Those of us who have been around a while know better.

Nope. ^^^. He’s a great man, great president, accomplished a lot.

There is a reason his approval ratings are in the toilet.

He has been a disaster.

To say he “chose” to bow out is a little too generous. Like when the bank teller “chooses” to hand over the cash to the crook with a weapon.

That was the “speech” of a man that may have had the faculties to run a family car wash and was handing it over. Not the US presidency. What a joke.

And now we get the orange man or kacula Harris. Quite the boomer upside down we have going here. At least it’s entertaining.
