Biden addresses nation soon

He’s tanned as if he was on the beach all weekend not quarantining from “COVID-19”.

Great address. I love him. He is a great man.

And am fired up for Harris!

Did your mother ever tell you that if you can't say something nice then just keep quiet. He put his country first. This is the act of a patriot

DP. Just stop. You slobbering all over this egotistical old man who had to be forced out is beyond cringeworthy.

Also - how many nasty comments have you made about Trump? And yet, you sanctimoniously lecture others about “saying something nice.”

PP, you are messed up.

Because you’re trying to rewrite what actually happened? Ok, whatever you say.

But Biden’s actions ultimately were selfless. He is stepping down. He has acted for the greater good throughout his presidency. I’m sorry you can’t see this, but Biden, and Obama before him, have extended the hand to Republicans, over and over again.

You can’t actually be pretending to yourself that had high-level Democrats not been forcing him to withdraw, he would have done so on his own? As late as just a few days ago, he was adamant that he would NOT be withdrawing and was extremely testy and rude to anyone who asked him about it. A selfless person would have made this decision a year ago. We all know this, but the gaslighting is now just part of the left’s MO.

Isn’t his house on the water. If so, he can quarantine at his home and still get a tan. Hell, there are people in DC, laying on their decks that are nowhere near a beach and tanning. Think people.

But he doesn't think he can go for four more years. That's the whole point. He has stepped out and passed the torch to a new generation. But a great man.

A great man would have announced their intent not to seek another term in 2023 so that their party would have the opportunity to nominate a normal candidate for the 2024 POTUS race through a competitive process. Thanks to Biden's selfishness, party leaders are appointing a nominee to replace him after he embarrassed the country and party. Biden is a step up from Trump but he is far, far from "great man" territory.

And give the media and the right the "dems in disarray" headlines? No.

Did he mention something about him curing cancer??

He said he wants to get his 'cancer moon shot' legislation through.

He can sit outside while recovering.

No. It’s letting someone who has done an enormous amount for our party and the country for his entire life (and during times of enormous personal tragedy) leave with as much dignity as possible.

Imagine how much dignity he could have left with a year ago - or even a few months ago - had he voluntarily decided not to run again and given the DNC all the time they needed to vote on new candidates. That would indeed have been dignified and praise-worthy. Alas, that's not what happened.

Biden is old school. Bless him.

Same here. I bawled. I feel safe in Biden’s America. He is a special person - humble, kind, authentic, warm, wise, and a unifier. His age provided wisdom. I will truly miss him in the White House and political landscape. God bless him.

So special that he won’t see his innocent granddaughter

So special that he waits until just a few weeks before the convention to tell everyone he has changed his mind so that we aren't able to have a fair and democratic nomination process. Real special guy he is... lol

He didn’t “wait.” He had a disastrous debate and the party leadership made a judgement call and pushed him out. He couldn’t continue a campaign with a non unified party. He ceded power because he wanted what’s best for the party and country. Meanwhile, the GOP puts forward a candidate who refuses to accept Democratic election results.

Whatever people say, the timing was spot on. Right after the RNC. He/they DNCommitte is more strategic than we know.

I’m not pretending. Those are my feelings. Biden is an inherently decent person who did the right thing. You can kvetch about what you think took to make it happen and you can complain about the timing not suiting your personal desires, but Biden stepped down.

Trump is still sitting there, a massive malignant convicted criminal tumor. I think much of the right wing’s sour grapes have to do with sheer jealousy that Democrats have the side of good.

Great speech. I’m so glad he chose to bow out and grateful for his service.

Let's see if I can find Dominic's today about trump. I thought about it and the man has no redeeming qualities. He lies, he is a serial adulterer, cheats people he owes money, a convicted felon, convicted of sexual assault which every woman on earth would consider rape.
