Guess you better take another Lexapro to manage all of this mess. Poor thing. |
Anxiety can be dealt with, but too bad there’s no pill for stupid. |
Seriously! How does the PP get through her days? |
FCPS really dropped the ball on this. I mean, parents probably would’ve been upset if they announced an early dismissal, but to not provide viewing glasses and just simply send out emails that say, “The eclipse will take place during dismissal, so don’t look up,” is absolutely the least amount of effort they could possibly put forward.
Every other school district around us (Loudoun, Arlington) is supplying the glasses, a lesson and the opportunity to go outside during that time if they haven’t already dismissed. FCPS is probably going to have kids log on to their computers to view it IF they’re even that “lucky.” (They might just be stuck going to their regular PE, guidance or whatever end of the day classes….) |
FCPS is a joke. |
MY DS is staying home tomorrow, and there nothing they can do about it. |
We’re going to do an early pickup. #mamagotmeetings |
What time? |
2pm, I think. |
Going to the Air and Space Museum, took a personal day. |
So you’re comparing a school system (Arlington) with 27K students to one with 180K students? |
I suspect that they may have dismissed early if it wasn't for having off for Eid that affects maybe 10% if we are being generous. |
+1 |
My FCPS elementary dismisses right at peak. SACC supposedly wasn't allowed to plan an event, might is stupid, they could have gotten glasses for at least the older kids. Trying to avoid taking them out too early as one of mine has orchestra and there have been so many Mondays missed. I think I will attempt to pick them up at Kiss and Ride and I will park off school grounds and walk over to pick them up and then we will look from an athletic field. |
Yes. FCPS has spent far more money on far less meaningful items that did not affect the health & safety of students. |
