I am a tap dancer...they don't show the feet because the audio was pre-recorded and the tapping would not sync up with the feet. They probably aren't even wearing tap shoes. maybe they didn't want to damage the floors.
The tapping is not impressive at all and the costumes are absolutely hideous. The mouse king looks like something out of the Shining..the ill-fitting blue dress...the lady in a black suit with a Dollar Tree candy cane in her hand..and of course the handsome and debonair Flower Head Man.
