These threads are so deranged. And very obviously started by an extremely insecure short woman for some reason. I don't get it -- some short women are super hot! Some are not. Same for any height woman. I think height is a weak predictor for attractiveness and that other factors (body type, bone structure, etc.) are determinative. I simply do not understand the fixation on height in these threads, and also people regularly say totally crazy things in them like "most models are not attractive" or the weird obsession with the term "spinner" which I am only aware of because of this thread.

Some of you (one of you?) need therapy and a hobby.

I think it was started by you, the crazy tall woman who's been crowing for several pages about how short women can't be elegant and how WASPs want tall women (?????) among other crazy stuff. It's all very sad. How old are you?

I am not tall. I am exactly average height. Why on earth would I start a thread about whether men are more attracted to short women? This is not something I think about almost ever, except when these threads pop up on this weirdo website I'm addicted to.

If that's the case and youre the same poster as has been kicking around her for several pages (I suspect you are) then youre even more mental than I thought. But I truly believe you're the same crazed tall girl who has been posting nonsense about how short women all look matronly and whatever other wishful thinking nonsense. truly crazy behavior.

You sound paranoid. There is more than one person on this thread disagreeing with the premise that short women are more attractive to men, including several men. Also, calling a stranger you've never met, and who just stated they were average height, a "crazed tall girl" just makes YOU look bad.

It's very clear this matters more to you than anyone else posting on this silly thread. Why?

Wait, aren't you the same person who accused this thread of being started "by an extremely insecure short woman"? But who's the paranoid one?

Deranged behavior.

I will say that it’s hard to be thin, but even harder to be a thin petite woman. I have to be at a much lower weight to be thin, but I’d really like to eat as much as everyone else.

You can be perfectly elegant as a short woman. It’s just a bit harder because elegance is typically associated with being slim and the shorter you are the more difficult that can be. But it’s totally possible depending on your style.

Elegance is nearly exclusive for the tall, as is regal. I've never seen a short regal man or woman.

I mean, there's so many... Elizabeth Taylor, Calista Flockhart, Joan Collins, the list goes on and on.

Though I dont know how many men truly care about "elegant", tbh. I think that's more of a thing women and gay men look to.

Calista Flockhart is 5'5" tall -- not short. She's also like a 00 and has been her whole life.

Elizabeth Taylor was short 5'2", but she was also thin when she was young, and as she aged and gained weight (while working incredibly hard to keep it off -- she famously got very heavy after recovering from surgery and then advocated for some nutty weightless techniques to take it off) she became less attractive. Who aged better: Elizabeth Taylor at 5'2", or Audrey Hepburn at 5'7"?

There are elegant short women but it's incredibly hard to pull off because you need need to create the illusion of length. That means staying slim, but it also means having longer elements to your body -- a longer neck and limbs that are proportionately long compared to your torso. A 5'10" woman can have a big bust and hips and still look elegant. A 5'2" woman with a big bust and hips will need to maintain a size 4 or smaller to pull off elegant, plus probably commit to heels, dressing monochromatically, and certain hairstyles.

The world is not full of elegant short women. The average short woman over the age of 40 looks matronly and heavy.

Did Audrey Hepburn have surgery that made her gain weight? She was also a ballerina and suffered during WWII with lack of food.

Why would anyone prefer a short woman unless they are also short?

IDK, ask Chris Hemsworth, Ashton Kutcher, Jason Momoa, etc

They married the woman despite the fact they are short. I bet they wished they were taller.

I bet you wish you were smarter.

What a cope. Nobody prefers short women. I never ever heard that until I read it here

Most models are not conventionally attractive. They are tall and angular with weird looks. I guarantee the average man would pick a cute petite woman like Reese Witherspoon or Natalie Portman over many of the supermodels out there.

+1 the fashion model industry is geared toward women and gay men. Hetero men are not watching fashion runway shows.

Anecdotally…I dated one guy who is 6’2” and he told me he didn’t prefer shorter women because he liked to be able to look women in the eye. For many reasons, apparently including my 5’3” height, we didn’t make it.

On the other hand, my 6’1” husband said he’d find it strange to look a woman in the eye and I think was probably subconsciously influenced by his mother who was 4’11” at her tallest.

Personally, it’d be nice to be a little taller- maybe 5’6”- so I didn’t have to get all my stuff hemmed. I guess I must have a really short inseam as even pants marketed as short or extra short are too long.

All the men I’ve dated have been 6’ or over, and the one guy I really liked was 5’6” and didn't return my interest.

+1

+2. This isn't about what women find attractive about other women, it's what men find attractive.

Men are attracted to curvy women (rather than focused on height) because biologically those women appear to them to be better for child-bearing.

Exactly. It's very obvious which men prefer, that's why Patti Stanger would specifically ask all the men on her show if they need a "Spinner" as one of her first questions. I mean... come on.

What the heck is a spinner?

(n) A woman/man that stands less than 5ft. 3in. Giving someone above average height the ability to have sex with them on their lap and possibly spinning them like a top.

HAHAHA I am 5’1” and have never heard this my whole life!

Who cares? It isn't like it is something you can change anyway. I'm short. I always wanted to be taller. But you know what ... I found my person regardless of my height.

The essence of this forum.

I guess going by height, Gary Player, who is 5 feet 6, would be a loser by DCUM standard. He won eight majors in golf.

It doesn’t matter.

I think this is the answer, but some women are seriously crazy.

These threads are always so stupid because it just breaks down into short and tall women arguing that they are more attractive. Fact is, neither one is more attractive in a vacuum. It all depends on face, style, carriage, shape, and a thousand other nuances. It will also depend heavily on personal preference, of course.
