For those of us in the suburbs, it's perfect. National is the one that I avoid. TDF from everything.

Too damn far from the parking lot.

Stretching your legs before sitting on a flight is healthy.

Would be happy to fly to capital one international airport if it gets rid of the awful mobile lounges.
Anonymous
The mobile lounges are ok, except they try to jam them like cattle cars before pulling away.

It's the awful United Airlines "temporary" mid-field terminal that I can't stand. Nearly 40 years later, this long narrow corrugated metal terminal is still not replaced.

"Dulles" is a lot easier to say than "Baltimore-Washington Thurgood Mouthful Airport."

Or you could just say BWI like the rest of us.

Personally, I would go with Willis McClane airport for the actor/character in the Die Hard franchise. Dulles was the “location” in Die Hard 2.

x1000000 So Southern.

Southern? How many things are named after JFK?
Anonymous
Northern Virginia-Washington International Airport. NVW is an available airport code.

No more naming things after people.

Naming it after GW would have (and still would) caused confusion with DCA. There is now at least one airport that incorporates the name of Abe Lincoln — and a few other with a city name of Lincoln.

I’m a firm believer in generally not naming something after someone until 50+ years after that person’s death.

Why not name it after: RFK, MLK, J. Edgar Hoover, Thomas Jefferson, James Monroe, Northern VA, Virginia, or Frederick Douglass

Why would you name it after RFK

John Warner would be the most suitable.

Agree.
