DCUM is full of wannabe losers.

What’s the difference between GS and regular Columbia? They take the same classes and get the same degree.

And they set up the same tents on the encampment.

Which Ivy embarrassingly stooped down to #18 again one year? Columbia.

It’s still better than NYU Stern, but it only survives because of the allure of attending an Ivy in NYC.

Columbia destroyed itself by itself by admitting a lot of socially maladjusted kids and those with questionable academic potential.

Do you mean Columbia destroyed itself by having School of General Studies? I agree, but I wouldn't say "destroyed", but it certainly "lowered" its status among ivies.

Wouldn't a recruiter know if a kid was GS? They'd be older and have some work experience? I thought that was a requirement. I don't think 30 year olds are gunning for an IB Analyst role?

Sad.

Just a year?? What happened? I didn't know that.

I don't know, I get an "ick" vibe when thinking about 18 year old pre-professional kids. I agree with the pp, much prefer my kid to sit and read under a tree and get a liberal arts education.
