Yes but her mother is very involved and goes to every concert. |
He looked like he was on hard narcotics. |
| Hard narcotics? Not sure what that is. He kissed a man for pride month |
No word on the street is that they're just smashing and the tabloid "reports" are to sell rags. |

The first I heard of Matty Healy was when they performed on SNL. I literally laughed out loud their schtick is so tired -- like they took all the original elements of Vampire Weekend, David Byrne etc. and coughed it all up into a black-suited choreographed hairball.
Then I read his New Yorker profile from Jia Tolentino and I disliked him even more. The faux dichotomy he has set himself up as -- tortured performance artist trying to find his niche as virtue signaller or -- is just BLAGH. Its embarrassing. I'm not a Swiftie but this guys seems like a world-class loser. |

Yeah, sounds like someone has some dirt. |

Heh you're probably Team Jess for Rory Gilmore, too! |
|
re the Rory Gilmore post I have not watched that show... This is about real people, not tv characters.
Do you realize there are several songs TS wrote about him? Its pretty clear. |
Heh these aren't "real" people either - they are constructs with whom we have parasocial relationships, in much the same way we do with TV characters. We know the carefully curated public image on which we project all kinds of other ideas. The only difference between this and fiction is that instead of an actor playing the part using a different name, it's someone playing a part using their own name. I didn't mean the Jess thing as a dig - it just clocks. I like Jess, too. I have fewer feelings about TS and this guy. |
Ooh which ones? How can you be a TS fan and not have watched Gilmore Girls? The two are perfectly overlapping Venn circles. |
I’m a Swiftie, albeit an “old” one. Never watched Gilmore Girls. Dawson’s Creek on the other hand… |
| When even Taylor Swift’s team can’t fix your image… |
Not to derail - but try watching Gilmore Girls! Parts of it will seem very dated and out of touch - but overall, it holds up as a thoroughly entertaining show with imperfect but lovable characters, that you will still want to pick over in detail, two decades after it aired. (Team Emily here.) |
