Why isn’t youth football a big sport around here?

To be fair, MLB isn't "too white" but Mid Atlantic travel ball is super white

I'll also add: of all the sports all of my kids have played, tackle football has absolutely been the most diverse, both racially and socio-economically.

Not saying that makes it "better", but there are some strange racists undertones to the anti-football thread

This is a big reason I steered my kid away away from football. Hazing.

It's an ugly, primitive culture and the " team>everything" mentality allows some very dark things to happen.
