I get what PP is saying though. I think a lot of moderate Dems (and I am one) support or pretend to support leftist insanity because we believe that to be good Democrats we must "be kind" at all cost, even an the expense of reason, sanity, and the truth. Take MCPS allowing males to play girls' sports if they simply say they are girls. I can't find anyone who supports this in private yet almost on one will speak out against this in public. That's crazy. |
Get out of your bubble. |
As a moderate Democrat, I talk with people on both sides of the aisle and take in a steady diet of diverse news sources. So I have no idea what you mean. |
You need to get out of your bubble. Whatever your bubble is. |
So moderates are people without integrity? |
Hi there, Trumper. |
What did I say that leads you to believe I'm in a bubble? And what bubble? I don't know if your far-right or woke and insane. |
What? |
Do you read before commenting? PP said "I can't find anyone who supports this in private yet almost on one will speak out against this in public." |
I'm the PP who said that. I don't understand what that has to do with integrity. Is PP (or you?) saying that people don't have integrity of they don't speak out against things they don't like? While I'm with you in spirit, MoCo has a lot of wokes who work tirelessly to ruin your life if you speak out against woke insanity. Look what happened to Stephen Austin. All he did was say he didn't think kids should be bussed out of their neighborhood schools and then ran for school board. The wokes ran him out of town. |
"Take MCPS allowing males to play girls' sports if they simply say they are girls. I can't find anyone who supports this in private yet almost on one will speak out against this in public." Your description of the policy is wrong, but I know a lot of people who support the policy in private and also support it in public. Including me. Get out of your bubble. |
Well, you could give the man some credit for agency as an adult: he didn't like where he was living, so he chose to move. Or you could make him a victim. Poor, pitiful Steve Austin, everyone was so mean to him that he had to move to Frederick County to do his continued trolling of Montgomery County! |
This is the policy. I described it perfectly as per the last point. "Per MPSSAA guidance and to ensure competitive fairness, the integrity of women’s sports, and equal opportunities to participate without discrimination, transgender and gender nonconforming students in MCPS shall be permitted to participate on the interscholastic athletics team of— the student’s sex assigned at birth, the gender to which the student has transitioned, or the student’s asserted gender identity." So you're either ignorant or just don't want the truth told because you know most people don't support this insanity. And I'm sure everyone you know at the Takoma Park Co-op supports this madness. Bubble indeed. |
My point was that there's an element of MoCo progressives that are so insane and hateful, they'll make someone's life miserable for expressing a normal, rational point held by most. This is a big problem in MoCo. |
There might be, but your example does not make that point. Steve Austin purported to express "normal, rational points held by most" in his campaign, but that's not actually what he was doing, the voters saw through his claims and rejected him, and his subsequent actions make it perfectly plain that the stuff he said in his campaign about holding "normal, rational" opinions was objectively incorrect. On the other hand, yes, he does like to claim to be a victim; that was also clear in his campaign. |
