Married one. In his kilt. Amazing how supportive people were. Seriously you need to find something else to be outraged about. This is ridiculous because plenty of cultures have men wearing skirts or skirted garments. |
|
The rules are selectively applied based on gender. The clothing options should be the same for both genders if there’s going to be a dress code. |
Here it is. |
I got married in a kilt and have several that I wear regularly. There are many other cultures that have their own variations of "dresses" for men as well. And, if you look at photos from the turn of the century it's not unusual to see young boys in dresses. ![]() That picture is FDR as a boy. It was not unusual for boys to not get their first haircut until 6 or 7 years old, and to wear what would be called a dress. Back then, there was also no such thing as "pink is for girls, blue is for boys." |
Yes, it is. And? |
They are. Rules state that boys wear pants, coat and tie and girls wear dresses. This kid is a boy. End of discussion. He is not being singled out. |
I have a picture of my dad & his 8 siblings when he was about 5. He’s wearing a plaid jumper in it. |
No. Same clothing options for both genders would mean a boy could choose to wear a dress or a coat and tie, and a girl could could choose to wear a dress or a coat and tie. |
|
Did your dad or FDR ever claim to be a woman? |
No. And that doesn’t matter. |
So your position is that gender-themed clothing is a modern invention? |
Gender-themed dress codes shouldn’t exist. |
All one gender from here on out. This will render trans people nonexistent, though-- proceed with caution. |
