If your kid is smart enough for Stanford admission, they will go just as far at Emory. SO unless you are wealthy, most should take Emory and save the $$$ or give it to your kid to get a leg up when they graduate.

it depends on

1 is the kid highly motivated high achieving kid?

2 studying real stuff like CS/Engineering?

If so give it a shot at Stanford

otherwise waste of money. Emory is perfectly fine school with good opportunies
$300K for mortgage down payment of in the stock market that will grow to million(s) in 10 20 30 years.
