When DC has to play whataboutism as compared to a third world cesspool like Mogadishu, then for sure the District is in crisis. |
People got what they voted for. What’s there to complain about? |
DP. https://twitter.com/alanhenney/status/1713772942239150249 You can also look up the address on the MPD crime cards, may be a bit more detail there. |
A black person looked at her with a side eye from across the room. |
It was armed robbery but thanks for playing. |
Associating anti-crime with anti-black merely reflects on you. |
DC is not dangerous. I've walked around at night in various parts of the city and never felt unsafe. Most people are not getting robbed, shot or victims of other crimes.
Be concerned, sure but the hysteria needs to stop. |
Careful, you relied on your personal opinion of this (as I did above), now those hysterical ones will come in and call you a delicate snowflake and diminish your personal experience because it doesn't jive with their paranoid worldview! |
235 murders this year. We can’t even calculate the number of armed stickups. Your mindset is perfect for a victim. |
Most people aren't gunned down by mass shooters. Most people aren't going hungry. Most people have housing they can live in. Most people aren't poor. Most people don't bike to work. Most people don't have special needs kids. I suppose there's a lot of stuff we can stop spending time and money on if our criteria is "does this happen to the majority of people?" |
Was there a point buried in your word salad? |
Not PP, but also not at all surprised you don't grasp it. |
No idea of the veracity of this but it is interesting and more than plausible. |
PP - meant to post this link https://twitter.com/upadhyaynilansh/status/1723675694771691792?s=46 |
So MPD should overcommit resources even more to the neurotic pearl clutchers of upper NW dc rather than to the areas that are actually dangerous and have lots and lots of crime because someone's grandma happened to be in a cvs when some people shoplifter or they read about an argument between two people that turned violent in an apartment complex they don't live in on their local listserv? |
