No, it's usually one round. This hasn't happened in a century. And everyone is free to vote for anyone they want on the first round and any other round. |

Only half of the votes are in for the 2nd round and again McCarthy does not have the votes. It's going to a third round. Dems are unanimous behind Jeffries. Republicans are going to have to compromise somewhere. |

Democrats should nominate all the crazies- Giuliani, Eastman, my pillow guy(that’s the name they should use), etc. Nominate ever coupists. Show what a joke the republicans are.
So it would go like “I nominate the failed coup plotter Eastman.” “I nominate anti constitutionist Gosar.” “I nominate My Pillow Guy.”, etc, etc. |

Unless folks are absent or vote present. You need a majority of those voting. If a bloc of members starting voting present, then the threshold would drop. |
