Mind sharing your kid's stats? Thanks!

Probably better if TO

Yes, 1220 is low. Your college counselor should have advised TO.

I’m not sure the 1220 hurt an applicant with a 3.3. She apparently would have needed a higher score to make up for that gpa (or possibly no score could have saved the application) but a 1220 shows she can do the work.

I’m honestly shocked at this. Why wouldn’t they defer or waitlist to see how the rest of the class shakes out? Especially for a legacy. So sorry PP.

They'll have plenty of applicants with higher scores, they don't need to waitlist a 3.3/1220.

This is true, but a 3.3, 1220 kid is the type of kid who would do great at Pitt and would have been a shoo-in 10 years ago.

This isn't 10 years ago though. Doesn't really matter how college admissions worked back then.

DD just submitted all her applications for EA.
Do acceptances slow down now with the huge influx of EA applications to schools for the EA deadline?
Will it really take 6 weeks to hear back from the schools?

Most of the early acceptances are rolling. 6 weeks for EA? That would be incredible. UVA EA deadline is 11/1 and don't expect to hear back until mid-February.

It took about 2 1/2 weeks to hear back from them - and it was a text.

Congrats! For the Arizona admits - what was ur reasoning for DC picking those schools?

How are the costs? Is the actual price lower than the sticker price?

We plan to move to either CA or AZ and are hoping our kid picks schools in one of these states!

DD got acceptances last week from Mary Washington and Juniata College, with the top merit award at Juniata.

My son is applying as a Computer Science major. He has been accepted to Pitt, Minnesota (CS in engineering school) and Temple (with Deans scholarship).
