Should Northeastern be T20? Or even T10?

You totally got it backward. Looks like you are already suffering from memory loss.

Northeastern is where everyone wants to go: Acceptance rate 7% (class of 2026)
Northeastern is where Smartest kids go: Middle 50% SAT: 1470-1540
Northeastern is where they want to stay once they get in: Retention rate 97% (7th among national universities)

UMass whatever is a much lower tier state school.
Congratulations to your cousin if they successfully transferred to Northeastern from UMass.

Get your head checked out by a brain doctor.
You are only in your 30s and already having a memory loss.

If you're kid is happy there, getting a good education, getting job connections or into the secondary schools they need to, who cares about rankings?

-If dorms cost a lot of money and the Westin Inn is cheap because there is not much travel demand and rooms are vacant, NEU will just house students in the hotel.

And they don't spend on academics as much - who is going to leave NEU because of that, once they are in?

All about profit model — Sounds dreadful for the consumer/student.

-When many university went online in 2020 due to COVID and NEU did not, they wrote to every applicant who had turned them down to go to another school if they want to reconsider their earlier decision and come to NEU in person instead. That is a very gutsy move that stodgy old Ivy leaguers or state flagships wouldn't/can't do.

Stop talking when you have no idea.

Schools like Notre Dame were persistent and remained open during the pandemic.
Notre Dame is probably a for-profit school by your logic, but it was nothing to do with money.

Northeastern closed the campus and went online just like most other schools in 2020.

(So stop lying)

When they're-opened Boston campus like most schools, they still can't do the international programs due to many international restrictions.
Thus they put those students in 5-star hotels. Check the price on h 5-star hotel in Boston.
Rooms were modified with two desks, and two kids in a 5-star hotel room for housing.
The living conditions were probably the best in the country.

Downside was they had to commute a few subway stations.
However Northeastern conveniently has two subway stations right inside the campus, one on North and one on South.
So stop lying.

Next.

Sounds like my tardball cousin in the 90s, only he stayed at NEU all of the six years is took him to graduate, presumably because the expectations were lower and he could balance his joker classes with his bartending gig. But he ended up there in the first place because he didn't get into UMass (except at the Dartmouth campus, which had even more of a CC, commuter vibe in the 90s than NEU).

Welcome to the 21st century.

OP, you don't sound like a very nice person, so that might have something to do with your not having done well, and feeling the need to write these posts.

Sorry your cousin's achievements hit home for you.

Yes and the facts say it is ranked number 49. You just can't accept it and created your own "facts". Very trumpian of you.

To OP and the over the top NEU boosters, I say this as nicely as I can. You are hurting yourselves with these obnoxious posts and the follow up responses. Let your school speak for itself. Don’t force people to move NEU up in their minds. Let your kid’s success speak for itself. What you’re doing here is pathetic.
