any cons in suspended student loans debt?

Forgiving student loans would be another entry into the era of the great government giveaway. It wouldn't be farfetched to compare the current ship of state to the known, yet unseen, hazards facing the Titanic.

That one is simple. College used to be cheaper because you needed to qualify for loans, or pay out of pocket. Once anyone could get a loan regardless of qualifications (because of "fairness") then colleges could charge whatever they wanted. The same people that would have never qualified for a loan before are now wanting to be "forgiven". No big surprise

****Wow caste system alert****

Colleges would be cheaper if the loans were never made easier, that’s a fact.

And what was the reason for making them available to ALL- do you remember?

It would also be cheaper if they culled university administrator and executive positions and all collegiate sports. I think we can start there first before limiting college to only the wealthy. College is also a requirement now for most office jobs. Businesses shouldnt require a college degree for basic entry-level positions. It is more than the student loan crisis.

+1

I'd be willing to compromise on a variation of this.

Banks do have to make some profit, which they wouldn't do if they didn't charge something, so make the interest rate very modest.

Look! Here's all the people who will want student loan forgiveness in a couple of years:

Stop spreading disinformation. LIFETIME MAX federal loan limit for traditional undergraduate students is $31,000. Stop using fake hypothetical students with $100K in loans for a bachelor's degree in art from a ritzy private college to push your narrative. $31K total in federal loans is all an undergraduate kid can take out. Public or private. $31,000 total, period. Source:

Progressives want Biden to forgive all student loans, including graduate student loans, which have no maximum borrowing limit. Many of the people with the highest amounts of student loan debt are doctors and lawyers who will benefit tremendously from student loan forgiveness despite earning much more than the average American.

That's just the corporate-controlled uniparty democrats and republicans poisoning the well to make it sound like a giveaway to the decadent class. I don't think anyone believes rich MD surgeons, MBA bankers and JD corporate attorneys are or should get their loans zeroed out. The dialogue ought to be centered on federal undergraduate loans, which the lifetime max is $31,000.

Shills continue to bring up disinformation about "$100k private college loans" and "rich doctors" to divert the conversation away from the poor and middle class kids who have <$31,000 in federal loans from their undergraduate studies at 2 or 4 year colleges.

No actually progressives are very much against student loan forgiveness. They lobbied Obama to cancel PSLF and most articles written about "Doctors will get their student loans forgiven!!!!" are by progressives. Conservatives didn't care until Biden was elected since it was George Bush who actually signed PSLF into law

Would you characterize Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders, and The Squad, as "corporate-controlled uniparty Democrats?" They support forgiving ALL student loans. Also, if Biden unilaterally forgives student loans in 2022, do you think he should do additional rounds of forgiveness in 2023 and so on or is forgiveness a one time thing? What happens if Democrats lose the presidential election, and a Republican takes over?

All of the members of The Squad support full and unconditional student loan forgiveness. They were not members of Congress during Obama's administration.

This is why this will not happen. No one wants to see Harvard and Yale grads get loan forgiveness. The Democrats have no ability to understand optics.

The Congressional Progressive Caucus ("CPC") recently sent Biden a list of actions that he should take via executive order. See the link below, which on page 2, states: "The CPC is calling on the Biden administration to put money in millions of people’s pockets by using existing authorities to cancel federal student loan debt."

None of these jokers understand real people and what they want. Just look at the stupid daylight saving time bill. Dumb and dumber.

Here is a thought: don’t buy what you can’t afford. Not Mommy and Daddy, not the government, YOU. There is a huge demand for tradespeople of all kinds who can earn a solid salary doing a useful trade. Without the college debt. And there is no shame in that. College is not for everyone and that is okay. This country was built on craftsman and tradespeople of all types. And now it is a dying vocation across the board. Time for a mindset change.

Looks like Democrats are going to take a chance on buying Millennial and GenZ votes! Must be taking a page from the Republican playgroup except benefiting regular people rather than billionaires and their LLCs. Sorry so many of you in this thread are mad but you were going to vote GOP in the midterms anyways. Better start watching Fox News and doing your Q research so you're ready!
