Anyone yet consider if more truckers quit due to dissatisfaction of the current state of affairs, our shelves might look bare? A trucker protest or strike is no joke. They are essential workers who transport gas, food, medications.

One of them was promising to create a blockade on the beltway, which is patrolled by Maryland and Virginia police.

If they do that, I think Youngkin is going to have to walk a fine line between law and order and not pissing off the Trumpers.

This isn't rank and file workers. These are people who either can afford to, or are being paid, to operate their vehicles without traditional income, wasting fuels and talking time away from work to do this action. Actual workers are you know, working.

wealthy people and the businesses/corporations they run aren't going to let this go on for long. Driverless trucks will be more widespread sooner rather than later if these types of "demonstrations" continue.

These demonstrations have little, if any, bearing on driverless trucks. These types would have had driverless trucks yesterday if they were viable.

He’s term limited in VA. He can’t run again. He’s eye a run for POTUS as a Trumpy. KY is his base.

Trucking is not an easy profession, but neither are most professions. The truckers have food, shelter, schools to send their children to, and a means of livelihood. The grievances behind this convoy are absolutely contrived by far right pundits who are all super rich and who just dream of being in control of a mob. The truckers have allowed themselves to be brainwashed by these pundits into being that mob over a bunch of ephemeral nonsense and lies. Their protest isn't about freedom or Biden, it's a bunch of angry white middle class men wanting to feel big by exerting what little power they have, and not caring how it affects everyone else.
