Are you saying this from your recent work inside DCPS schools?
If you think families are not hiding covid status you are incredibly naive. Are they doing it to be sinister? Not exactly. But they are hoping it goes undetected.

Here’s what I don’t get… the rapid tests aren’t good at detecting the omicron variant. How will using data from rapid tests really be effective? I feel like using these tests are like grasping at straws

I have seen some shadiness re: family member positives, not affirmatively testing and quarantine fidelity. I have not seen people knowing the actual child has covid affirmatively lying about it as this would require. I’m not saying it won’t happen, but I’m saying it is not a widespread problem.
