You do know there is metadata that easily shows if the photo is from Another day, right? |
Oh come on, how else could they realistically do it? The big problem is not people intentionally going to school knowing they have covid and being willing to affirmatively lie about it. It’s just not. |
+1 The PP needs to get off the internet for a while. |
Ha! DCPS is going to be checking the dates of our pictures??? Are you new here? |
You should 100% write to DCPS, the Chancellor, your Principal, and the Council about your fears regarding students faking covid results. |
| Is anyone concerned that teachers / staff would fake covid positives? |
No. It will cost them their sick leave. |
Yes, yes it is. Are you saying this from your recent work inside DCPS schools? If you think families are not hiding covid status you are incredibly naive. Are they doing it to be sinister? Not exactly. But they are hoping it goes undetected. |
| Here’s what I don’t get… the rapid tests aren’t good at detecting the omicron variant. How will using data from rapid tests really be effective? I feel like using these tests are like grasping at straws |
I have seen some shadiness re: family member positives, not affirmatively testing and quarantine fidelity. I have not seen people knowing the actual child has covid affirmatively lying about it as this would require. I’m not saying it won’t happen, but I’m saying it is not a widespread problem. |
This exactly |
Rapid tests aren't good at picking up covid w/out symptoms either....but, here we are.... |
| So for all the people who think it’s futile would you be happy if they did nothing? |
Not if they teach virtually. |
You know that you can strip the metadata before uploading, right? |
