It's generally estimated that 30-40 percent of online reviews are fake and I would wager that extends to rags like DM that are already revealed to deliberately accept planted articles tearing women apart as part of PR stunts for clickbait and "spinning a narrative." Part of spinning that narrative would include supporting the article through fake "grassroots" commenters to support the "narrative" sentiment provided by that article.

The PR blow up is possibly the biggest story of all.

DP to add, the 900+ comments on the NYT article are generally sympathetic toward Blake and I am far less inclined to think NYT uses planted commenters on it's articles and far more likely to think that Daily Mail, a horribly corrupt publication already implicated in the smear, uses planted commenters.
