Summer 2024 - engagement
Late 2024 - finish the Eras international tour
Feb 2025 - TS performs Eras at the Super Bowl, the exclamation point finale to the tour
May/June 2025 - wedding
Fall 2025 - announce pregnancy, long break from touring
This is exactly what I'm thinking. I also think that Midnights was a breakup album and
Taylor and Travis have been together since at least May if not before. There's a video circulating of Taylor in a golf cart at a stadium during a run-through and she's wearing a bright red & yellow shirt under a hoodie. Someone found the exact shirt online and it's a Chiefs shirt. Those are also two colors that Taylor doesn't wear under normal circumstances.
I think she'll do the 2025 Super Bowl where the Chiefs will also play. I think he'll retire after the 2025 super bowl. He'll be turning 36 that year and that's pretty old in the NFL, especially for a tight end. She will go on a hiatus from shows and tours, possibly until she's almost 40 or when she turns 40.
The delusion.
Travis was with an IG “model” in May. Said IG model was attending some of TK’s games up until last month.
He is so vile. I hope Taylor isn't touching his dirty ****. This is two gross boys in a row for her. Really slumming it in the gutter since Joe.
Joe is a dud. A talentless nepo with control issues.
Totally agree. She was WAY too good for Joe. He wanted to dim her light. Please.
I respect Dolly Parton so much for acknowledging that her husband didn’t want the star/famous life. Her light wasn’t dimmed by anyone, she made her way on her won. I would think, assuming Taylor has all the qualities her fans ascribe to her, she would be able to do the same. Why are you defining her by her man?
What? No one is defining her "by her man". Taylor fans want her to have a man who supports her. Its well known that Joe was not supportive of her going on this new tour and all the hoopla that went with it. He loved what they had when she was hiding out after the Kanye debacle and during COVID. That's different than Dolly's husband who is very supportive but stays behind the scenes - a man can do both of those things. Taylor is NEVER going to live a normal life. She needs a man who can handle that- whether he wants to be in the spotlight or not.
I’m curious: I’m not a Taylor Swift fan, so I don’t really have a perspective on her music. Do you think she’ll have a lifelong career — if she wants one? That 20 or 30 years from now, her fans — either current or new — will still be excited to listen to her music?
Dp- not a swiftie, but that is an obvious yes. She is doing a GREATEST HITS tour. Right now. In her prime. She is 33? Or there abouts and she has been dominant since the aughts..
She’s in the Michael Jackson, Madonna, level of stardom. She’s a legend and she’s not 35.
I’m not sure how I feel about her music. I don’t think it’s for me, but that’s irrelevant. She’s made it. She will have different levels of success, but she’s with us till she’s gone.
Oh wait… just googled. 2026 is 20 years since her first hit… she’ll be 37?
20 years dominating and not even 40. Tina Turner ( RIP QUEEN) was in her 40’s when she made her big solo come back. It’s (Taylor’s) just an insane journey of extreme longevity for a career that treats artists as one use disposals. Crazy.
These days, all the young kids start out that way: the Disney channel started all these artists off really young (Timberlake, Miley cyrus, Cristina, Britney etc) so they could grab the tween/teen kids and their parents money. That way when the artists go on to adulthood, the commercial money making machine is already in place. Her longevity has little to do with her brilliance and everything to do with 1. Her stable parents and 2. Marketing and commercialization of her product.
Yeah this is a weak comparison. No one you’ve listed has gotten close to her level of success. They’ve all had their moments but not sustained like TS. Not as many awards. Not as many sales. Not the same level public interest. Just not comparable.
She could fizzle out in a couple of years. Do you think that’s actually likely?
Really?
She wasn’t a Disney or Nickelodeon star. Does she have good parents? Seemingly so. But you think her marketing was just so much better than everyone else? If it was marketing they all would be doing it. At some point you have to concede it’s her. At some point you have to give her credit.
Both things can be true.
She strategizes how to gain new audiences. Britney and Timberlake probably didn’t do much of that.
Taylor strategically partners with bands (National, the 1975, Haim, for example) and other bands of different genres and I suspect part of that is to draw in new audiences and part of that (like with newer artists like Ice Spice) is for PR.
Yes, her marketing is way better than any other artist.
Examples:
—She uses “you,” so it always sounds like she is talking to one person. “I saw the videos of you camping out for a spot. Thank you for doing that. I love you.”
—She released the SAME album with FOUR different covers to maximize revenue. Buy all four and you can make a clock.
—She releases tracks that you can only buy a Target.
—She partners with singers and musicians to bring in new audiences.
Kendrick Lamar
Ice Spice
The National (audiences is dads of Swifties)
Haim
—She had a show Midnights Mayhem with Me on TikTok to share one track title per night with fans.
The list goes on.
Meanwhile, Britney dances with knives and Justin is associated with abortion and ripping off Janet Jackson’s shirt at a Super Bowl.
You can’t be a good marketer if you don’t have educated and sane family members to get you through early stardom.
Taylor had an eating disorder and her family probably helped her though it. Without that support, she easily could have not made it.
A lot of talented people fizzle out due to making big mistakes, having a breakdown, or having to spend energy dealing with trauma from crazy family members.
You can’t thrive for long if you are dealing with all that.
