| I'll start: $137,644. |

I didn't check and will not check. I buy to hold and look at my portfolio a few times a year, OP. I have Nvidia, and I'm heavily into tech stocks, so I'm sure I've lost a significant amount of money. That's fine. It will go back up again at some point. I've been at this for two decades.

An important rule of investing: you can only lose money when you sell.
Also absolute dollars like you shared don't matter, only percentages. We're still up 15% YTD, whatever happened today didn't matter. |
What’s with the “I’ll start” from the one posting the question. |
| so neither of you will say, why are you on this thread then |
| I don't know. I haven't checked but my rough est is around 210k. Not a good day but you win some, you lose some. |
You're that nutjob who pushes weird investment strategies, loves crypto, day trades and think they know best. Calm down. We're posting because we're pushing back against your approach, not because we want to answer your question. |
nope. I'm not. i'm just bored. |
Then stop asking stupid questions and wondering why no one wants to answer. No one cares how much you win or lose in a day. What matters is how well you do over many years of investing. |
Oh gosh, are we going to play the day-by-day stock market game? |
|
It’s OK OP. I rarely look because I can’t take the pressure
I put the college tuition money I need in secure places and hide my eyes for my retirement money. When I need affirmation I look at the tomato plants growing on the back patio. |
| 29K!! |
| None because I didn't sell |
| The S&P 500 is almost exactly back to where it was one month ago, so today's stock market drop is no big deal. |
| 5%. I'm fairly exposed to leading tech/AI names. I took some profits earlier in the week thinking a correction was due and now it's here. This was not exclusively a tech sell off. Oil, precious metals, crypto which are nowhere near bubble territory also sold off big. Not worried. Fundamentals haven't changed. Still up big YTD. |
