| how many T30? |
| For useful results, you also need to know how many applied, not just where they are headed. Lots of high-achieving MCPS students prioritize UMD because it’s such a great financial deal. |

| Ask SMCS seniors. They got some sort of the statistics after graduation ceremony. |
| The Instagram college acceptance page for Blair not that compelling. Might be that less kids listed their acceptances or may just be a bad year compared to others. |
Many. DC graduated from the program a couple of days ago and was able to identify where many of his cohort went to. They all did well. Not as awesome as last year when there were 3 Harvard and 11 MIT admits But I am curious about the reason for your interest. Do you have a kid in the program? |
It saddens me that the Blair magnet will be winding down beginning in 2027, with the change to the Taylor regions. |
| It’s a normal year, except for MIT and Harvard. Last year was an outlier. |
| Were results dismal compare it to past years because Ostrander isn't there ? |
Ostrander left after applications were submitted. Not that he would have an impact at that stage anyway |

2026 admission results are quite good. MIT, CMU and Cornell have accepted less students from Blair comparing with last year, but overall, the results are amazing for magnet graduates.
UMD - 17 CalTech - 2 Stanford - 2 Berkeley - 2 UCLA - 1 USC - 3 UWash - 1 Duke - 1 GTech - 8 Rice - 1 UVA - 1 CMU - 5 Princeton - 3 UPenn - 2 UChicago - 1 UMich- 1 Georgetown - 2 JHU - 1 Cornell - 3 Dartmouth - 2 MIT - 3 Yale - 4 Northwestern - 1 Oberlin - 1 CWR - 2 Purdue - 1 Olin - 1 Bowdoin - 1 Northestern - 1 |
A lot of kids may choose affortable schools and UMD as its a great school. That doesn't mean results are dismal. |
Not sure how Ostrander's departure would affect the admission. He left before applications started but the magnet coordinator doesn't have any role in the process. He is not a school counselor. |
Results are freaking amazing! About 70-75% of magnet kids go to top schools. |

RM also has great results with students attending:
Yale 3 Stanford 2 Harvard 2 Brown 2 Princeton 3 Penn 4 Dartmouth 2 JHU 5 Duke 4 Cornell 6 Many other great schools as well. I know one student admitted to several schools above who chose an out of state school offering a full merit scholarship. It’s too bad Blair and RM can’t continue these outstanding programs. |
