How many pairs of shoes does your toddler have?

DS has 1 pair of sneakers and 1 pair of winter/rain boots. I'm thinking about getting him another pair of sneakers that will be his "nice" pair and slippers. Trying to figure out if that's an unreasonable amount of shoes for something who's 18 months...

At that age, just one pair. At some point he needed an extra pair to stay at daycare for accidents or mud.

My daughter is almost 18 months, and she has two pairs of shoes - I figure that way we've got a spare if one pair gets soaked or needs to be washed. I kind of hate to get more than two pairs in a size since I'm never sure how long she'll end up staying in a particular size.

My 5 yo ds has 3 pairs - casual, semi-casual and dressy. Now my 3 yr dd - I can't even count them in my mind.

My 18mo old DS has 4 -
Sneakers
Crocs
Rainboots
Wintery/dress boots

But they are all handmedowns from his brothers.

13 month old DS has 2 pair, both sneakers: one bought new & one barely worn hand-me-down

At 18 mos, we kept it to one pair. She didn't wear them out like she did when she was an older toddler, beginning at 2.5 yo

sneakers
Crocs
rainboots (don't even know if they still fit)
snow boots (will get new ones this winter.)

I am thinking about buying fuzzy Crocs for winter

Wow.... I am embarassed to respond to this with the actual number.

13 mo DD has just one pair. They can be dressed up or down, not that she cares -- sort of a rugged pink mary jane style with a sneaker sole.

I'm waiting another few weeks to get her measured for winter boots but probably won't replace her current 1 pair if her size hasn't changed.

One pair of sneakers each. They outgrow shoes so fast there really is no need for that. Over the summer they each had a pair of sandals.

I think we have some hand me down dress shoes and boots from cousins if we need them, but they are boxed upstairs. Sneakers I buy new, since they are used more often and I think it's more comfortable that way.

Whoops that should be "no need for more then that".

Another embarrassed Mom here. 3 yo dd has, ummm, more than this. Sneakers, 2 pair mary janes (brown and red), dressy, rain boots, nicer sneakers (ie for preschool instead of playground or getting dirty). And a few pairs of crocs - all of which were gifts b/c I HATE crocs.

Original embarassed mom... guess I'll fess up. She has I think four pairs of mary janes in various colors (but three of them were only $9 each at Target!). She has two pairs of sneakers (same pair - one for daycare but they're awful looking so I bought another pair for the weekend). One cute pair of silver flats. Two pairs of Uggs (gifts - never would have bought them myself). Several pairs of Crocs that I'm not sure will fit her next summer, but fit her at this point.

Ouch. Easily 10-12. I never thought it was that much until I read this thread... you really only have one pair of shoes for them? Not judging whatsoever (especially because I know apparently I'm overboard), but my two year old would tear through one pair in no time.

It's ok, 9:37! I'm guessing there's a boy/girl effect here, too. Or that's how I'm going to justify it to myself, anyway.

Signed, 9:32.
