Want to know how kids who managed to impress the most selective colleges spent their summer before applying.
Can you say which schools your DC got accepted to and what they did the summer before? The one kid I know who got into Yale did Yale YGS and ran a non-profit. |
| Non-profits need to be legit and long-term to be a plus. AOs have become extremely attuned to the many "non-profits" that have exploded as a means to get into HYP. |
You're asking specifically for parents of kids who are WASPS? |

Interned at a nonprofit organization focused on healthcare equity and poverty alleviation in DC.

Pomona ‘30 but got into Yale and Brown too if that helps.
Helped organize no kings protests with a national organization and went to Paris to work with some organizers holding activism workshops and demonstrations. Applied as Economics and Neuroscience at every institution. |

WASP Ed. Interned at lab at prestigious med school. She was given little to do and was completely bored. I really don’t think this is what moved the needle.
Spend summer volunteering somewhere in meaningful way and, if necessary, prep for SAT to get 1530+. |
Sounds like quite a few schools did, congrats PP |
